So, I’ve been craving hot wings all day long, well pretty much like all week long. I found an awesome and easy recipe online, and was super stoked to make them. The FH agreed to pick up the wings on his way home. I had the oven preheated and ready to go. When we got home, I found the huge package of regular size chicken wings, the ones you would use for fried chicken. I mean these things are HUGE. Anyhow, needless to say, they did not work out. He told me, “Those were the only chicken wings I could find.” I teased him and said, “Well I wouldn’t have bought them then.”
Fast forward, and he sees me checking out Weddingbee, and asked “What are the bees talking about?” I told him, “I posted about you picking up the wrong size wings.” I think he is curious as to what you gals would say.
Lol, ever since I started posting on here, he has been quite intimidated of this site. I told him about one thread where a bride to be vented about her FH, and how everyone bashed him for his stupid comments, lol. Now whenever I ask his opinion about wedding details, he tells me “Umm, whatever you want. I’m not going end up like the one dude and get bashed on that wedding site, and have you be mad at me FOREVER!”
LMAO! So gals, what advice do you have to offer him? Please make sure to mention something about the wings.

Boys! They have no common sense!
My Fiance feels the same way about this site. When I’m on it, he sits so far away from me and is “scared to see” what I’m writing 🙂
Just tell him it’s just a fun website to vent/share experiences, but that the most important opinion is his 🙂

When it comes to domestic things, women need to be SPECIFIC! Apparently some guys don’t know the difference between sweet & dill relish (Mr. is guilty), linen & canvas (MOH’s hubby), nor how to follow the directions of a recipe (BM’s hubby). We’ve all learned to be visual – now Bridesmaid or Best Man takes pictures of what she wants bought, emails them to her hubby, & he picks it up. Me, I only ask Mr. to pick up something on hold or something he’s familiar with (as in we’ve bought it together). Good Luck “training” your Fiance.

Tell him he’s awesome for picking up the wings!! What do you mean they didn’t work out? Wings are wings – you can still make them if they are BIG! Just broil them for a little longer and the coat them with the sauce… I promise they will be delish!

I would have still bought them!

Something my Fiance would do as well. I could even say, you know, I feel like making those MINI wings – and I would still get the large “all he could find” ones. Same thing happens with a lot of things, “doesn’t this work as well as what I couldn’t find.”
Lol – neither of you are alone!

Boys! I love hearing about what they come home with when asked to pick up something on the way home!

I asked Fiance to bring home an orange once–I needed the zest for a batch of Christmas cookies–and he came home with a grapefruit. Oh, dear. I don’t think he’ll ever live it down. At least your Fiance got the item mostly right!

I still think it’s sweet of him to bring you some wings;) Men…they are just being practical in the end!
