First timer… I’m recently engaged and I am having a hard time choosing between a Oval and Round cut solitaire, we’re looking around a .90 ct diamond E color SI1. Just seeing what a .90ish oval or round cut solitaire would look on a 5.5 size ring finger.
please show picture with info about your ring (Ring size/color/clarity/carat weight etc)

size 6.5, 0.95ct, I color, VVS2 clarity! The solitaire is kind of blurry in the picture, apparently the minimal difference between the solitaire and my hand was enough to throw off the focus

6.5 size 1 carat I color sl1 clarity

Not really a solitaire because it’s got a pavé band, but I’m a 5.5 as well and this is my signature cut .90 E color vs2. I absolutely love it. 😍

Size 5.75 with a .91 center! Ideal cut, I color, VS1. I’ll give you a couple views to get an idea of what it’ll look like

Mine’s 1 carat and I think I’m a 5.25, but the difference between a .9 and a 1 carat round is absolutely minimal and I’m guessing invisible to the naked eye. The thing about rounds is that cut is king. Having an excellent cut diamond will definitely make it appear bigger!

I’m a 5.5, mine is a .71ct, I color. I know it’s maybe not as big or as high quality as you were asking to see but I’m still super impressed by how stunning my ring looks despite feeling like we made several sacrifices during the design process. I think the bezel set makes the stone look bigger and the color is complimented perfectly by the rose gold. I still get compliments on it almost daily.

.80 carat I color SI1 excellent cut on a size 4.5 finger. It’s the perfect size and sparkle in my opinion!
