annb9:  I love this dress!!! Who is it by and what is the name? Did you remove layers?

SoStuck:  It’s by Leanne Marshall; it’s the Janine dress. I’m not planning on removing any layers – it’s actually really comfortable and easy to move around in as is.

KHogan:  Really? I bought a big hoop skirt but am really starting to think about only wearing a petticoat- or now maybe nothing at all!

I’m wearing Leonie. I don’t have it mine yet but here are some photos that show the details I feel in love with.

FutureMrsLawlis:  Aww it’s sooo pretty!!! Wow it’s so similar to mine! Ugh I fricken love raw-edged tulle.. just so ethereal!

Is there a way you can try it on with a petticoat to see what it looks like? I just checked my gown, and the layers of my skirt include the silk underlay, 3 layers of stiff tulle then a satin layer and the soft tulle overlay.. seemed to poof out pretty nicely on its own. Actually it looked about the same “poofiness” as yours I think. My photographer was great at fluffing out for pictures and at the altar. Come to think of it, maybe because I’m only 5’1″ (like 5″3-5″4 with heels) the dress may just look poofier.. who knows.

KHogan:  Thank you. The cut on the top and the lace are different but yes the style is very similar. I’m getting married in Europe and bought the dress there so I won’t see it until a couple of weeks before the wedding so no but I may just buy a petticoat and take it with me so that I have some options when I get there- better safe than sorry! I’ve heard it will be more difficult to walk if I don’t wear anything underneath but from the images I’ve found online I seem to like it better without anything underneath.

I have to say that seeing the beautiful pictures of your dress made me feel better because I was starting to have doubts about having chosen the right dress- probably partly because I won’t see it again until July but that style just photographs so beautifully.

mbee7:  Thanks! It’s by Casablanca and it’s style #2067. I was pretty excited when I found it– it was so different from a lot of the other dresses I tried.

imanibee:  thank you! The beading is amazing. It’s Hayley Paige “Houston”. The same top is also on HP “Carrie” but with a layered handkerchief cut skirt.
