I loved my $2 DIY veil, I still think it was my favorite thing from my wedding outfit.  I hated my hair, not what I wanted at all, but I will fix that for the Bridal portaits.

@peachbaby4008: Your second hairstyle you show is very similar to what I had for my big day. I LOVED it and wore a birdcage with it. I think the birdcages are going to go out of fashion any minute now, but I didn’t care. When else would you ever get the opportunity to wear one. I’d planned to wear it low on my face and then remove it after the ceremony, but in the end my hairdresser placed it almost like a fascinator. I wasn’t too sure, but we were in a bit of a rush so I just accepted it! Decided that I loved it though, and wore it all through the day and evening.

@tksjewelry: Oh my gosh. You look amazing! I love the whole look.  And, by the way, I can’t believe that is a $2 DIY veil! I literally spent $500 on my Malis Henderson cathedral-length veil with Swarovski crystals and $99 on a blusher, and I think you look awesome with just what you did!

@Brielle: awh, thanks.  I originally ordered a french silk tulle veil, but because of the popularity of Kates veil, the silk tulle suddenly became hard to find and the lady from the site I ordered it from went way way above and beyond to try to get it for me.  It was the day before the wedding and I didn’t have my veil so I had little to no choice but to do it myself.   So glad I did!

@tksjewelry: Wow! What a situation to have to deal with right before your wedding and what a fabulous attitude you had regarding that unexpected snag! I applaud your positive response and your creative solution!

My picture now graces the SMP website :).  J had tons of extensions in, soft curls (they’re tighter in this picture, but they fel out perfectly) and some hair pulled back so I could wear a veil for pictures and ceremony. So so obsessed w my headband!
