Here’s my inspiration (I almost bought this one but the quality wasn’t great) – we’re having it made before our June wedding with a couple small changes!

My Fiance said they had a setting at the place that set my ring that went around the stones to fit snug with the e-ring.  He had the ring set from family diamonds.  I have a diamond heart pendant that was my Mom-Moms and plan to use those diamonds to make a wedding band.  I like the idea of the ring conforming to the e-ring and almost having a V shape as my current last name starts with a V so I feel like I get to keep a piece of that with me.  I don’t mind that it won’t look right on its own without my e-ring as I plan to wear both.  Maybe something like this

I just got engaged about 2 weeks ago, and I am SOOO excited to share my pretty marquise! In my opinion, they are the most CLASSY of all!!! πŸ™‚

Its kind of similar to yours, gummie310! πŸ™‚

I don’t have a marquise but 5 of my friends do!  My mom also had a marquise (sadly it was stolen!) so they are very popular around me.

I went to breakfast with 4 of my friends and all had marquises – I was the only one with a round! Most of my friends with the marquises have either an enhancer or their e-ring was part of a set with a matching band.  One has her marquise on a channel set band and it’s set high enough where another channel set band fits perfectly next to it.  My mom wore a prong set eternity band with her marquise.

Here is my marquise!  I didn’t think I wanted a marquise orginally, but when I found out I was able to get my late mother’s diamond, I was in love.  My Fiance and I designed it together, and I love how unique and sparkly it is!

I luv love marquise cuts! I don’t have one but I absolutely think they are so exquisite!! I’ve tried on a few when we looked at rings, for some odd reason I thought they looked funny on me, i don’t know why, maybe i just cant carry them off well. But I love seeing all the pics of them. My Mother-In-Law and SIL both have them and they are so beautiful!

YAY!  Another thread where I get to show off my marquise.  They just don’t seem to be as popular as the round brilliants…

Here’s my e-ring:

and a picture of the profile:

And as for a band, because of the profile, I can go with a straight band, which is what I wanted, as I still want to be able to wear the band by itself.  I’m working with a designer right now to make something using the diamonds out of my late mother’s cluster engagement ring, and somehow use maple leaves in the band for my Fiance, a Canuck!

Here is my marquise ring! Fiance designed it himself and I’m pretty proud of him πŸ™‚ I am totally stuck on what kind of band to get though, since it wasn’t part of a set! What do you ladies think?
