I’m so glad you are still loving your rings. I’m also saddened to hear of your diagnosis but on the upside they found it while the symptoms are still mild and you are doing well on the medication. I was recently diagnosed prediabetic so I’m making lifestyle changes to change that. I’ve be on bo sugar low carb and I’m seeing some results. Since my diagnosis I’ve been more focused on that than jewelry.i still have all my pieces I just kind of wear whatever instead of focusing on it. Once I loose some weight and hopefully get my blood sugar down to a healthy level I plan on treating myself to a jewelry piece to celebrate…I’m thinking diamond studs of some sort since lately I’ve been wearing my large gold ball earrings in either rose or yellow gold sand blasted pair. I dont really have to worry about changing them often because they go with everything. My second piece I’m considering is an emerald cut eternity band. Well baby steps until I get things under control but a girl can dream right???? My family and I had a great holiday season and I’m so happy to see you back on the boards!

you know, as you said to me regarding “lucky it was caught early”, same for you! Be so thankful you caught it early enough to hopefully correct it with diet. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with my Son and I was able to control it all with diet. It was so hard I know. But you can do it. I love food. And I have to wonder if I had taken better care of myself would I have maybe been able to keep Crohns at bay? UGHHH. Do it now! You dont want to be on insulin. Hell to be perfectly honest I was feeling symptoms of what I half wondered were prediabetes. So I get it. What made you go get checked out? Were you having any symptoms? Its so strange. I have been wanting to drop some pounds and its like it took me getting a nasty disease to have a wake up call! UGH! I sure wish it didn’t have to be that way for me, but I love food LOL. You can do it and I will be sending you lots of love and prayers. I am so glad to hear you and the fam had a great holiday. Same here. So fun watching the kiddos open presents and be so happy and full of magic. Me, I am glad its over LOL. I mean I am because frankly its kind of stressful, but I love the season and I am sad to see it over. I start Nursing school tomorrow… Wish me luck? I could really use some some positive vibes. I hear you about focusing on health vs jewelry. Same here. Just found out I cant wear my beautiful new huggies that my hubs got me, to nursing school 🙁 Honestly its making me so sad. Stupid I know, but I cant help it. I think a nice pair of studs would be so wonderful to reward yourself with. You will definitely deserve it! Keep me posted. I would love to know how its all going. Its hard. I know. But well worth it. xoxo
