hi everyone… so i have been having 2nd thoughts on my dress for awhile. it won’t come in until april but i have determined that it’s the FABRIC that i don’t like about the the dress. it appears wrinkly. i know it’s the sample dress and mine will be pressed for the big day, but still…. i wish i would have gone with satin or something. does anyone have any pics of them w/ their taffeta dresses that don’t appear wrinkled? thanks!
here is a pic of mine (the sample) so you can see what i’m talking about…

Mine had just been shipped so it’s a little wrinkled as well. But you get the idea 🙂

Here is mine. They pressed it really good and I think it looked awesome.

With a little TLC, you can get the wrinkles out. My dress was shipped in a tight bag & was very wrinkled. I took an iron on very low heat and slowly worked out all the wrinkles. See before & after.

This was the sample and it was somewhat wrinkled. I definitely think dress shops or places that you get alterations (if you need them) can get the wrinkles out. A good steaming could work.. I’d Google it 😉

The lady who did my alterations steamed the dress, and my mom had a fabric steamer that she used on some last minute spots. It wasn’t wrinkled at all after that.
It looks like there were a couple spots in that photo, but it must have been the underneath layers or something, because it disappeared.
This is when it first came in, there were a lot of wrinkles in the back especially:

mine was silk taffeta and sure there were some wrinkles, but it didn’t bother me because the torso area was pulled tight.

I like taffeta, I liked how it felt when I tried this dress on. It’s not my dress but it felt nice.

I love taffeta and my dress is taffeta. I must say that there are different types of it though, some are nicer than others
