@RobynB: No such thing as a height requirement for a veil, don’t listen to those people! It just drags behind you anyway, like a train. I’m 5’3″ and the veil in the pic is cathedral length. I’ve never seen a bride that looks too short because they’re wearing a veil. I also loved the drama and the romance like you mentioned. If you’ve got your heart set one, you should absolutely go for it.

I just got pictures of my comb yesterday.  It is made from a pendant and earrings that belonged to my grandmother.  For some reason, it looks very yellow in the picture

@RobynB: I am 5ft tall and wearing a chapel length veil.  I actually think it makes me look taller, because it doesn’t cut me off at the elbow, waist, etc.  I am also wearing it a little higher on my head (a la Chelsea Clinton) to give me some height there.

I will wear an Enzoani veil with my Enzoani gown for the ceremony and pictures and a hair comb for the reception:

I used two veils for the ceremony and then just a small flower (from forever 21 $1! lol)

I wore a simple pencil-edged veil for our pre-ceremony pics and ceremony.

I wore a fingertip length veil and little pearl/crystal hair pick on top.  I meant to take my veil off for the dancing, but I got carried away and never ended up taking it out.  I don’t know about anyone else’s experiences, but that veil hurt my head by the end of the night, so I think a switch would be good.

My veil:

If I could I would’ve worn the veil all night. For the reception I wore a ribbon/cyrstal headband:
