This is our inspiration photo – mini calla lillies are our main flower so we wanted to use them. The lighting will just be clear though, no red tinge – sitting on royal blue linens with ivory runners!

ETA: WHOA THE PHOTO IS HUGE! I never can get my photos to stay resized ;(

We’re doing DIY centerpieces with flowers out of my dad’s huge garden, mason jars / thrift store vases, and tea lights.  I’m excited – I love wildflowers and I just want it to be a big colorful explosion ๐Ÿ™‚

@CaliBeeBride0813:  Thanks, me too! I wanted something for the head table that was low so that we could easily be seen. We are setting up some chairs across from us to encourage our guests to come and chat while we eat dinner, so I didn’t want anything in the way.

Ours will be rose bowls (the half sized ones) filled with glass pebbles and flowers. Some will be hydrangeas, others will be baby’s breath. There will also be mason jar candleholders wrapped in burlap tied with blue ribbon. I got 10 rosebowls for $5 and the already complete mason jars for free. The flowers will be about $120.

Here is the start of mine. ๐Ÿ™‚ Some of the tables will have the pink flower…

And some with the white flower…

And they are going to be on top of wood slices like these which are in the process of being cut ๐Ÿ™‚

The tall pink vases will hold the table numbers in the cork.. The two smaller mason jars will be filled with sand half way with a small candle on top. The large mason jar with water and a floating candle. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m ordering a bunch of Majestic Sunset roses and arranging them in clear glass vases with flower foam, tying ribbon around them.  I have also saved a couple of mason jars and one Chianti bottle to use as well, just for variety.

I’m making my own bouquets, big traditional round rosy one for me and a smaller one for my junior bridesmaid.  FI doesn’t want to wear a boutonniere.  If I can figure it out, I want to wear a rose or three in my hair, which is fine and straight and not thick.

You can see my lantern centerpieces here: http://pinterest.com/pin/410883165973542672/

They’ll have some peach roses around them, and be on doilies very much like these: http://pinterest.com/pin/410883165973542624/

@xbrittfacee:  Have you done a mock up yet?  I liked the idea of those for centerpieces and did a mock up last month.  The paper lanterns were really hard to work with and didn’t sit right on the table so it was too unstable for my liking.
