@Waitingbee57:  I *think* I’ve got just about everything done, except for small random stuff.  We booked the venue over a year ago, photographer over a year ago, caterer and DJ both booked just before Christmas.  I just met with an event decorator/rental place a couple weeks ago and she gave me a great quote for all the linens, backdrop, dishware, center pieces, etc.  So… that’s about everything.  My dress should be in any time, and my BM’s are picking their own dresses.  Just need Fiance to get his suit/tux and the boys need to get theirs.

Everything else that I can think of is little stuff… like finding frames and photos of our grandparents, organizing the champagne toast, finalizing music selections, readings for the ceremony, etc.

@Waitingbee57:  the caterer is a hard choice, and not one to take lightly so it’s understandable that it takes a while!  It was the one that I kept procrastinating on bc I knew it would be hard to find one I liked AND could afford.  But we found her eventually!  Good luck with yours!!!

We are DIY-ing a lot and I never even considered myself crafty! Here’s our list:

  • Bridesmaid hangers (FI is making the wire names)
  • Centerpieces: Whitewashed planter boxes – FINISHED! (florist is providing flowers)
  • Other table decor: mercury glass long-stem tea light holders
  • Reception signage: Blackboard signs with painted frames (I’m designing all the signs on the computer and transferring)
  • Wedding entrance fabric arch
  • Invitations
  • Programs, menu cards, table numbers (including table number stands made from wire)
  • Favors (olive oil bottles with label and placeholder tag)
  • POSSIBLY a DIY video booth! Still brainstorming.

I think I’m crazy! Fortunately Fiance is super crafty and fast! Hoping it’ll all come together!

I’m not DIYing too much but here is what I have to do:

-escort cards (purchased from JoAnn, just need to write them out and glue on rhinestone)

-card box (no clue of what I’m going to create here)

-menus and table numbers (to go into double sided frame from Ikea)

– maybe moss letters for the church door

– 160 paper flower napkin rings

-100 pocketfolds and envelopes. My sister designed my invites, which I am currently cutting and stuffing

– 5 aprons (part of my bridesmaid gifts – everyone cooks)

– Table “numbers” and seating chart

– I stamped 200 candy bar bags. That was tedious and my least favourite task so far

– canterpieces and ceremony decor will be done by myself and my mum (Mum is also doing the bouquets)

– Sweetheart table backdrop (including frame)

– ceremony programs will eb DIY as well
