Thank you reviving this post. I like what you have in mind for ceremony decor.
Here is what I am doing/have finished in my DIY list:
-Black swarovski crystal shoes
– Decorated Restroom Baskets
-2 Signs for Open Bar
-Ceremony aisle decor
– 4 Bridesmaid or Best Man and 2 Flower girls bouquets
…and hopefully nothing else pops up. =)

8 months out, I still have most of the DIY to do….
20 centrepieces (this is really just assembly – lanterns, pine cones, berries, candle, done.)
2 aisle petal runners
2 pine cone garlands
20 pine cone pew bows
150 pine cone place card holders
300 B&G Gingerbreads
4 pine cone trees
6 shawls for BMs
1 shawl for me
But first I decided to crochet 160 dish cloths as thank yous for my bridal shower in September.

oooooooooooooooooh, restroom baskets. I should add this to my list. LOL!

Invitations (80), design and calligraphy (I really got into calligraphy, so the invites are actually my calligraphy, which I digitized and then had someone else letterpress)
pie stands (really just gluing together a plate and stand)
table runners (half of them, because I wanted patterned ones for half and the other half are solid)
flower girl basket & ring bearer box
escort card display and escort cards
favors – spice mix in cute little jars
In the end my DIY probably doesn’t save THAT much money, because if I get cheaper materials I just don’t like the final result. I guess I do the DIY because I really enjoy the projects. I’ve learned all of these fun things and I love making things. The calligraphy in particular I fell in love with doing, and people really seemed to appreciate it (I had a lot of people tell me they saved their envelope, which I totally wasn’t expecting).

Invitations – done!
Bridesmaids’ dresses – my mom’s sewing these, God bless her!
Bridesdmaids’/bridesman’s gifts: personalized fabric cup sleeves, plus a MLP Cosplay backpack for my brother (since I don’t think he wants the faux fur capelet I’m getting the bridesmaids) – cup sleeves are done except the hand-stitching on some; just getting started on the backpack :/
Bouquet/bouts/corsages – already assembled, just need to wrap with ribbon
Favors: Christmas ornaments with a silk aspen leaf inside – just need to add ribbon “hanger” to about half of them (ran out of ribbon!)
My hair accessories – not started
My garter – not started
Aisle decor – no idea, but I’ve got the aisle clips that fit my church’s pews!
Card box – no idea, but I kinda don’t care. If it comes down to it, I’ll take gift wrap to a cardboard box, maybe glue some extra silk aspen leaves to it, and be done!
Signs – still not sure what all we’ll need/want
I think I’m missing something….

commenting to follow….I still have a lot to do, but I have some time. I don’t want to get all stressed out at the last minute, so I guess I should get started

OH man I haven’t even made a list yet. Guess I should probably do that! lol
We are diying a ton of stuff so I really should et started.

Ceiling Decor: Streamers– possibly fabric, I havent decided yet
Initial Cake Topper
Bouquets (I think i’m going with sola flowers for me, undecided for bridal party… either sola flowers or maybe the pearl sprigs?)
Photo Booth back drop
Beaded Lace bracelet
I still have to decide how I want the pergola thingy decorated for the ceremony, what we are going to do for favors & gifts for the wedding party…
I’m sure there is more lol
