As soon as I entered the store, I picked my dress. Turns out, it’s a bridesmaid’s dress…ooops. But the sales lady and I pulled tons of dresses and liked it best. Plus the ribbon is a throw back to when we met…I wore a green ribbon in my hair and Fiance loved it.

So, cost (including dress bag and alteration) was under $350.

My dress was $273 and I expect to spend about 200 in alterations witha private seamstress for hemming, the bustle and taking it in.  I got it at Running of the Brides. It’s Mori Lee Elodie 110232.

My dress is Blue by Enzoani Cheyenne and what I paid is open to interpretation. My gown retailed for $1,568, but through the beauty of an online bridal store and their policy of beating any price by 5%, I “paid” $1,273. I also got $300 in accessories, so I consider the price I paid for the dress at $973, seeing as all the accessories I will receive were items I would have purchased anyway. Saving about 35% works for me!

This is at my try on appointment.  Allure L301, $780 before tax and alterations.  I go for my first fitting next week, so I guess I’ll know the damage, then.

Here’s mine!  It’s a Priscilla of Boston, style PL210 from the Platinum Collection.  I paid $1,400 for it but bought it from another bride, it’s seriously like brand new.  The dress retails for about $4,500.  Don’t be scared to buy used, it can save you a ton of money and enable you to buy a dress you never thought you could have!  The buyer had the dress listed for $1,900 and I was able to negotiate it to be within budget.  I love it:)

I was really hoping someone else might have my dress, but no dice!
Mine was $519 before alterations. It’s LaSposa “Fabiola”.

I bought this dress for $180:

But I’m not wearing the lace jacket. I’ve bought a sash for $30 and a wrapor for about $100 to wear instead, so grand total $310. Still need shoes!
