Mine was really expensive, a little over $6K after tax and alterations. I had mixed feelings about buying such an expensive dress, but looking back I’m so glad I went for such a glamourous dress perfect for our wedding that I LOVED!

Mine was custom made for another bride and I bought it on the classifieds here for $320 (including shipping). My friend’s mom did my alterations (not entirely professional, so it still didn’t fit right — boo! — but it worked) so I only had to pay about $20 for supplies.

Mine is priscilla of Boston Originally around $5,000 and I got it for $2,300 including tax. It was the sample. Had to lose some weight (still need to lose a little more) but it was worth it. I love my dress! First fitting is tomorrow….i’m contemplating getting rid of the bubble hem.

I never thought i would be able to get a POB dress and i am so happy with the quality!

Mine was Augusta Jones, Chenoa and it was $2750 including alterations.  i LOVE this dress!!!  She is so sweet ๐Ÿ™‚  However part of me thinks maybe I should have looked longer since I see about a million equally gorgeous dresses in this thread that are way cheaper… dammit ๐Ÿ™‚  FYI, the one pic where my hair is down is from the after-wedding shoot we did about a month later.  we were married at the aquarium but never got any pics of us IN the aquarium itself!!  totally forgot, so we went back and I decided to get the best of both worlds and do my hair down.  also i wasn’t quite so boobilicious at the wedding itself as i am in that pic lol!!  i may have gained a few pounds on the honeymoon….

I feel like such a braggart when I say it… but my dress was $107 on eBay and I am getting the dress, crinoline, a veil, hair comb, and longline bra.

I won’t wear the veil or comb or bra (bra not my size, don’t care for veil, already have a hair comb I like better) and they are all new with tags… so I will re-sell them on ebay and most likely from what I make on those, my dress will be FREE!  The veil alone routinely sells on ebay for $75-90 and the bra for $20-40!  I might even make a little money!

Best of all I didn’t just find a cheap dress and settle. This is THE dress I wanted, in my size, never worn.  Bride changed her mind.  It is the same dress I was prepared to buy new at David’s Bridal for $600 IF I hadn’t found it pre-owned for such a deal.

Now, I will probably spend between $200 and $300 on alterations when I get it, for a bustle, changing neckline to sweeheart, and possibly some minor bust/waist alteration for better fit.  It won’t need hemming though.   So in the end I’m looking at probably $200-300, alterations and petticoat and dress total

Okay enough, here are pics:

Here’s how I plan to change the neckline (and I will not be wearing a sash):

I paid 1698 for MS Catarina. Alterations are free and so is the bustle. I paid a 100 dollar rush fee so overall I am out 1800 and 3 trips to New Orleans. lol

Okay I guess I will have to figure out the picture posting first. Sorry.

I haven’t decided on which one but I am not paying more than 200 for my dress.

I’m only wearing it once, we are eloping and I honestly don’t see the point of spending so much on a dress (especially when we are the ones paying for it)

We have a house together and every time I think of spending that money on a dress I think of hardwood floors or the millions of other renovations we would like to do.

That being said… I am uber jealous of the amazing dresses posted here
