Wasn’t able to upload it earlier but here is my dress! It is going to be $670 with the $100 in store and since the fit is so perfect they are going to have it hemmed for FREE and I am DONE! The best almost $700 I have ever spent! It is a Maggie Sottero “Adalaide”

Justin Alexander 8503 for $1500. I was able to change the neckline at no cost. Haven’t had alterations yet.

$719.20 (sale price, it would’ve been $900)
+ 150 to order it hemmed (I’m 5’2″ and wearing flats)
…probably a rip off, I don’t know 🙁
= $969.60 …I’m hoping I will not need too many more alterations.

My Alfred Angelo 2083…. $900. Hopefully I dont need many alterations..I ordered it a size smaller then the sample because the sample was baggy on me. I’m having it made into a sweetheart neckline! It arrives mid November!

I LOVE all of your dresses, but makes me feel sad again. My dress was about 90$, and i ordered it from an online shop that normally doesn´t sell bridal dresses, was just a limited time offer. I love it, it fits perfectly, and i know it is perfect for the beach, but for some reason i still wish i had a “real” one. There are so many beautiful dresses.
But i guess i will wear it, just need to change the flowers, they look so cheap

My Pronovias Harlem was $1200

Hello fellow bees!
This is OFFICIALLY my first post, though I have been “stalking,” if you will, the boards on and off for quite some time now… I just purchased my dress last month, and it will arrive late January. It is a Hollow to Hem (I am only 5’2″) Jasmine Bridal gown, style number f374. It cost $800 even from a discount bridal store in NY, though with the $200 sash, and tax, the whole thing comes to just under $1100. I anticipate the alterations to be minimal, but will probably still cost around $250… Just enough money left in the budget to buy/dye a pair of shoes, and “borrow” a veil, lol!
I was surprised no one else here had ordered a Jasmine dress! They are IMPOSSIBLE to get pricing on, since no authorized retailer is allowed to advertise their prices online, so I just paid the store what they asked (hope I didn’t get ripped off too bad… Maybe they could have thrown in some alterations or a discount on additional dresses or the sash/veil)! I probably should have shopped around at least a little bit, but hey – when you are in love, you are just in love! (I didn’t keep shopping after I found Mr. NorCalGroomToBe! 🙂

Damn you guys in the States are lucky. You can’t get a decent dress in Australia for under $2k!
Mine was originally $3,000 but I got it for $2700 with a store discount.
They all come from the US so i guess we have to pay all the transport taxes.

@Usuki: Aw sweetie – your post made me so sad……. I do think people have to settle sometimes because of budget but gosh, for just a LITTLE bit more money, you CAN get a fabulous “real” dress.
Check this out: I just bought a Watters SILK dress for $200! (and it was brand new with tags from a bridal store! It retailed for $2,100!) Not all the dresses on “used” wedding dress sites are used…… (I got mine from “preownedweddingdresses.com”). They have TONS of samples and “I changed my mind” brand new dresses on there and a lot of them are at AMAZING prices…….
And if you don’t mind used ones – so many brides buy a second dress for the reception now, some of the dresses have only been worn for a few hours. If that doesn’t bother you (it’s not something that bothers me but I know some people have an issue with it) that opens up the door to even MORE dresses…….
Here it is – Watters 1087b – $197! (please don’t mind the wrinkles – also including stock photo with pretty thin model…….)

@ms. anne thrope:
Thank you so much for trying to help me!
My problem is, i am living in germany and i HATE the dresses that are sold here. For some reason many brides here seem to have an awful taste, and the shoes, horrible… :))
Four months ago when i started the wedding planning i fell in love with some dresses from Davids Bridal, i asked them if they would ship to germany, but they didn´t and they also said that it was not planned for the future. I bought two dresses on ebay then, because i do not care if it is already worn, and i like re-using things. But one was way too small, the other one was nice, but the shape wasn´t what i wanted, it looked totally different at the photo. So i sold it, even made some profit, and ordered the one i have now. Two weeks ago i found out that Davids Bridal is now shipping to germany, aaaargh, that made me so mad.
So I am done with Ebay and online shops.
Anyways, i like my dress, and this is what i am planning to do: we are getting married in Fort Lauderdale during our vacation, i will take my dress with me, and as soon as we arrive i will go to Davids Bridal or somewhere else, and maybe i will find another affordable dress that fits perfectly. If not, I will take that as a sign that i am supposed to wear the dress i already have. I do like it, but maybe i just feel sad because i am still not feeling like a bride, probably because there is not much that i can plan from the distance. And on top of that the company i work for just filed for bancruptcy, and i am required to keep the budget as small as possible now and wait how things develop. I guess that all leads to the depressive mood i am currently in, hopefully it might pass off again.

I live in Fort Lauderdale and am getting married here too. The closest David’s Bridal is in Sunrise, directly west. There is also an Alfred Angelo down the street that may have samples that you can buy on the spot too. Good luck! Never hurts to look if you don’t feel 100% satisfied.

oh, i did not know there is an Alfred Angelo too, thank you!
