My dress is Anjolique #1010 in light ivory, and it was $1170 before alterations. The bridal consultant estimated that shortening it, taking it in in a few places, and a french bustle will run about $200.

Mine was $800 with tax and before alterations. Maggie Sottero Brigidine. (Also it’s so weird to see the different prices from different places, because where I bought my dress the Melissa Brooch was only like $878.00) Anyway here she is. I love her. =]

Had a private ceremony in Jamaica and bought the first onefor $1000.00, Maggie Sottero Ireland.

Then thought I looked too fat in it and bought a second one off the rack weeks before we left! Ella Rosa gown by Private Label for $1000.00

Now I’m losing weight and trying to sell both gowns on eBay so I can buy my “skinny girl” gown for the vowel renewal next April once my hubby gets back from his deployment to Iraq. New cost: Aprox $1200. But priceless to finally look how I want to!! Anyone else buy more then one gown after getting cold feet with the first one??

I’m glad I got to read this thread.

I wasn’t sure how much I should spend on my wedding dress.  I haven’t gone dress shopping yet.  Few of my friends who got married spent more than what I would have liked.  Also, watching “Say Yes to the Dress” and other wedding shows made me and my Fiance feel like we had to increase dress budget.

While watching one of the “Say Yes to the Dress” episode… my Fiance told me…”I guess we can have $5k for your dress budget”. He is so sweet.

However, I have been thinking about renting my dress.  Did anyone rent their dress?

My gown was custom made – I’m SUPER picky and the size of a 12 year old lol so it saved me time and money big time since I didn’t have to pay for alterations after the fact, since it was made for my body! It was perfect – everything I wanted!

$925

Mine was right around $1000…plus I had to pay $150 rush charge and about $135 for alterations…really just needed some minor adjustments with the straps and and a bustle.   It is and Allure dress…but I don’t know the number 🙁 But I love it!  It is also ready for me to pick up…can’t wait!

My dress is the Sottero-Midgley SSM5049. The cost was $983 before taxes. I have no idea how much alterations will be since I just ordered the dress 2 weeks ago!

@meitra:I LOVE your dress! I think so many Priscilla of Boston dresses are gorgeous. I tried on a Cymbeline dress around that price and for me it was a big mistake, I totally fell in love with it. But since the dress was going on my credit card I really couldn’t pull it off…but I would have if I could have! I think you made the right choice, that dress is unreal!
