I just. dont. get. it. I do not think she is the least bit sexy. I didn’t even listen to the song. The whole video I just kept thinking:

1) I wish that sledgehammer was frozen so her tongue would stick to it

2) I hope that was actual concrete she was rolling around on. I hope it made her as horrendously uncomfortable as her video made me.

@bowsergirl:  +1    i actually totally agree with this.

britney actually put on a performance with back up dancers and danced her ass off and entertained, and was wearing sexy midriff baring clothes but she didnt need to try to be sexy because she was sexy by dancing and showing talent. miley just gets onstage and prances around. no talent there! put on a show! dance! do something other than hump a giant finger! oh well…shes just being miley

It was weird!! I just thought there was no reason to be naked the whole video.

I like the song — highly dislike the video. It’s more of her licking the sledgehammer than the naked-ness as much.

I’m too conflicted to buy the song on iTunes. I don’t want to support her reckless and sad cries for attention. Oh well.

I feel like yes, she is to be blamed for her nearly vulgar behavior, but not entirely. She probably isn’t the person coming up with these video and performance concepts.

I feel bad for Miley, honestly, but I also just loathe everything that she does.

Taking off all your clothes and writhing around is not the only way to be “sexy” (and frankly her performances are more “gross” than “sexy anyway). I wish she could see that. I hate seeing young women reduce themselves to live-action sex dolls because they think it is “empowering” and the only way they can have a career.

Want to empower yourself? Stand up, put your clothes on, and actually sing. Refuse to debase yourself for money. That’s empowering.

Miley is the perfect example of everything I hate about the pop industry.

I will say though, I think her haircut is cute.
