How different is it from your "other" dress, is it not ivory or white, is it less expensive, more fashionable or a non-traditional dress?
Me, I fell in love with Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2010 black and white dress…a dream!
I made an inspiration board based on it at http://www.encorebride.blogspot.com
I will upload the picture as soon as I get to my computer.

- Wedding: September 2009 - City Hall
My "old" dress was a David’s Bridal bridesmaid dress in champagne color, tea length, halter top, bought for $150.
My "new" dress is the white sun dress I found in my closet. So, free! Lacy + Eyelet, strapless, tea length.
Oh and I LOVE your dress – so pretty!!

It’s the same dress! Honestly! The first time around, I knew it was perfect for me. So, with FI’s blessing, I yanked it out of the "Forever" storage box, and began planning some modifcations. Fiance was allowed to see it originally, but won’t see the finished version.
I was afraid that there would be some emotional issues with it, but honestly, when I pulled it out, I realized that it was just a dress. Might as well have some fun with it. It’s never going back in a box; the plan is to wear it out in Vegas!

I am in LOOOVE with a few designs by Martina Liana’s 2009 collection.
Hey Encore bride, scoot on over to the encore board and introduce yourself!

Extremely different. My first was an off-the-rack peasant dress, nothing bridal about it at all.
This time I am wearing two dresses and I posted both on the Dress board. So if you are interested, look at the OK, so who else is wearing two dresses on their wedding day post. The first is a champagne colored Victorian inspired gown which I am wearing with a Victorian tea hat and the second is an ivory boho dress. I would re-post but I don’t want to be a pest.

My 1st dress was an Alfredo Angelo … chapel train, boned bodice, lots of "detail" and white
My new dress is a custom Dolly Couture – tea length in champagne with a blue petticoat

What a precious and yet flirty dress Amber! LOVE it!

I love the blue petticoat!

My first and second wedding dresses are completely different. Pictures are below. For the first wedding, the dress was white with long sleeves, lots of lace, and no special fullness in the skirt. This time it is ivory, strapless, split-front, with a chapel length train and no lace. The skirt has a built-in petticoat, and I’ll also be wearing a crinoline under it. (The photo shows it without the crinoline.)
Then again, I was only 23 at my first wedding. At 56, I’ll need everything but a winch to keep everything in place.

In my prior life, I wore an ivory long sleeved (somewhat puffy sleeves! lol), shantung silk J. Helm with tons beadwork and lace with a big skirt and a long train. And shoes to match. I also wore a wreath-style headpiece with my veil.
This time around I’m wearing an ivory strapless Marisa dress with asymetrical layers of organza fitted into a modified A-line with small sweep train. No beading or lace anywhere! 🙂 And a beautiful pair of Christian Louboutian Fortuna 120 pumps as well as a pair of Nine Electras that I had dyed sage green to match my groom’s tie. Not sure how I’m gonna switch them up.

In my former wedding I had a gorgeous long sleeved with a deep v neck gown and low v back which was heavily embellished. It was straight and had a detacheable train..I am not scanning any in of it as I just really do not want to look at it again. It was gorgeous!!!
Here’s something similar:

My first dress was something that I loved at the time…but I was SOOOO young then, and my tastes have changed. And yes, my Dad did "jokingly" ask why didn’t I just wear the same dress? Yikes!
My second dress is Alfred Angelo dress in an ivory color. Here’s a picture of me in it…I picked this one out all on my own…with no mom or bridesmaids in sight. I did eventually have to take my Future Mother-In-Law along with me to make the final decision just to get some HONEST feedback. Gotta love those salesgirls – they’re SO flattering!
I’m in L.O.V.E. with my dress now. It represents what I want, what I love, and most importantly I feel like a million $$ when I wear it.
You can check out my blog for more pics and posts about the whole ordeal of finding it @ http://www.abrideagain.blogspot.com

My first dress was a Brides by Demetrios halter stylw w/ full tulle skirt. can’t believe that is what I chose for a beach wedding, but go figure.
This time I am wearing a shealth style, silk chiffon WToo from Watters. I love the simplicity & its sooo me. I saw a pic of it online and just knew it was "the one". I tried on about 10 others but had to find this one & luckily it was in my price range because I hadn’t even thought to find out! The pic of my dress doesn’t look great in the front because they have it clipped too tight, but the back is awesome!

I think this is the one I want…
This was the 1st one: Long sleeves, very 90’s
Post # 16
He he..I had the 90’s long sleeved thing too! And I detached the train and it looked like a skinny long dress! (see above pic)
