- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
If we are talking ‘chain coffee’ I am a stereotypical Canadian girl who loves her Tim Hortons double doubles.
At my old work we had a Keurig machine. I LOVED Timothys Rainforest Espresso roast or Midnight Magic roast with vanilla creamer (brand of creamer irrelevant). During the holidays I loved gingerbread flavoured creamers.
I don’t work there anymore, and am pregnant so I can’t have coffee anyways…but I REALLY want to buy a Keurig machine for my home after I have my baby as a reward to keep me going through those long nights!

Sweet.Sugar.Rose : we LOOOOVE coffee at our house! So much so that we gave out coffee as wedding favors, haha.
Right now I am on a specific diet so I get just straight black coffee (boring) so I always try to find roasts that taste rich and have a lot of flavor on their own. Surprisingly, I love the Dunkin’ Donuts blends (from the grocery store, not AT DD); I think chocolate donut, original, and cinnamon are my favorite. To that end, in plain coffee when I can’t add any cream or sugar, I love a couple drops of vanilla extract and some cinnamon. Yum!
When I can have whatever I want, I really love just a good steamed milk + coffee situation. Although, my guilty pleasure that I picked up when studying in Jamaica: really strong (Blue Mountain if you can find it) coffee, a little sweetened condensed milk, and a little raw sugar. OH EM GEE it is sinful and very rich and your teeth will def rot out but hey who needs teeth anyway I mean you don’t have to chew coffee am I right

PorcelainBelle : I don’t drink or smoke either. I eat healthy, too. And I quite drinking soda. I only buy water for the house (hardly even juice due to being type 1 diabetic). I’ll have one if I am at a place that doesn’t serve unsweet tea, even then I’ll get diet and it’s super rare.
So in my mind coffee isn’t THAT bad compared! lol

mrsginger : I love their coffee’s, too! I’ve been getting the caramel coffee cake blend recently and it’s so good!

mrstea83 : where do you live? I live in the BR area and they sell Cafe du Monde products in many stores! Including beignet mix!
My daily coffee is a mixture of dark roast and the Dunkin Donuts bagged coffee, usually caramel coffee cake. I mix dark and light coffee because light is too light and dark is too dark lol. I use caramel macchiato creamer and 2 Splenda packets.
I love seasonal creamers! Pumpkin pie spice, sugar cookie, and gingerbread are my favorites.

As I sit here drinking my second cup of coffee I can say with conviction that I will drink literally any kind of coffee you put in front of me (except blueberry or coconut flavored).
I drink way too much every day but it keeps me going and I love it! Right now I’m doing low carb& sugar so I know coffee is kind of a no no but I’ve been only drinking it lately with a drop of half and half, which is very boring but I still love it!

Trilly : I’ve never thought to check in the store; I’ll have to look next time we get groceries! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that lol.

mrshmc1204 : I’m in Mobile! PP posted that it’s usually in Rouse’s, but I’ve never thought to check! We haven’t lived here too long so I didn’t even think about it.
I feel stupid now though 😳😂

mrstea83 : It’s understandable if you’re new to the area! If you can’t find the Café du Monde I recommend giving Community Coffee New Orleans blend a try.

I love a good coffee, black with a dash of cinnamon! Otherwise I get the lactose free half and half and add some cinnamon. Mmm..bliss!

I mostly drink espresso or cappuccino. Occasionally black coffee when I just need a coffee and that’s all there is. At home I switch between a few different espressos but my old standby is Cafe Bustelo. Sometimes I am too lazy to make a cappuccino & I just splash a little plain creamer in my espresso instead. I take a little bit of sugar with my first cup of the day. I recently switched to non dairy creamer/milk to help with iron absorption with my morning pill. Non dairy creamer/milk makes me sad.
A shot of espresso poured over a scoop of good quality vanilla ice cream or gelato is heaven.

I take my coffee black most of the time and usually make it at home, but on the go I’ll hit McDonald’s or Jack in the Box. They never mess up a cup of coffee!
If I do put anything in my coffee, it’s Bailey’s Irish cream (after a social dinner, not in the morning before work, though I’m sure it would make the day a lot more tolerable), or around the holidays I’ll use peppermint flavored creamer. I also do love pumpkin spice lattes, though that’s one of the few things I like at Starbucks.

catsanddogs : Creamer (in the US) refers to non-dairy creamer. It’s just sugar and oil, and it’s disgusting LOL. It can be powdered or liquid but these days I usually see liquid unless it’s like the cheapo office coffee supplies.
And I’m not sure I understand your question about cream – yes Americans sometimes put cream in coffee? Is that weird? I guess half and half is more common – my usual is iced coffee black with half and half.
In most coffee shops there are several milk choices – nonfat, 2%, whole, half and half, soy, almond, etc.
