sassy411 :  sorry you’re struggling with hair loss, that is the absolute worst feeling. I have similar hair and lost a lot of it while on topamax for migraines. It would fall out in clumps- it was so upsetting.

just chiming in because I’ve had a lot of different types of extensions and the halo type is what I would recommend for you if your hair is like mine- baby fine and soft. The clip ins are hard to hide and the hair is often too dense to blend well. Permanent extensions drive me mad with itching and wanting to grab my hair and yank it out, but I also can’t stand permanent eyelash extensions. So this is kind of know your own limits thing.

the halo causes no damage, you can take it out so that means no sleep issues and no loss of ability to scrub your scalp during a shampoo. The hair looks better to me, but caveat I haven’t used one in a while.

BalletParker :  I agree completely about the halo.  I have a few sets of clip ins and my halo is way easier and more natural looking.

sassy411 :  it could be that the halo isn’t right enough for your head, but the feel of them takes getting used to as they do move with your head naturally unlike the unnatural way clips do. It threw me for a loop the first couple times I wore them but I assure you they won’t fall out if it’s fitted right 🙂 may totally feel like it will fall out until you get used to it though.

I have luxy clip in hair extensions and they are amazinggg ive had them about 3 years now i cut them because they were 18inches and they were platinum blonde when i first got them because my hair was platinum and i dyed them brown when i dyed my hair brown so perfect match

When i put them in if im not wearing my hair up i put all my hair in a clip except for a thin layer at the bottom and clip on one with 3 clips then i take down another layer of my hair and clip in another piece thats longer width with 4 clips on my next layer of hair then i let the rest of my hair down and im done they are super thick

I bought some clip in’s from Amazon for like $30 on a whim and dyed them to match my hair color, conditioned them and then curled them for the big day. I teased my hair at the base where I needed them to make it fuller and sprayed with max hold hair spray and snapped em in. They didn’t move all day! I don’t have a pic of the back of my hair with me (I’m at work) so I can’t attach it right now but they looked fabulous! I didn’t purchase them to make my hair longer, just to make it look less thin.

sassy411 :  Yes that’s exactly how you tighten it, the metal slides get loosened and moved up and then tightened back up. When it fits right you should feel the band move left and right across the top of your head with your natural movement, but not forwards or backwards if that makes sense. If you’re good at cutting your own hair, or know someone who could do it for you, you can also blend in the front pieces of the halo to frame your face blend with your current hair since the halo will always sit in the same spot makes it easy to blend it all.

If you love your slips ins you have and want to try getting them to hold better, you can also remove the clip part and resew them in upside down, that trick works best in my fine hair so may work for you as well. Some companies also come with clips already seen in in that direction.

Hi OP, thanks for the update! Awesome to hear it worked out well, it sounds great. Sorry if I missed it but it’s not clear from your post – is your halo also from Amazon?

I need to buy off a site that can deliver in Italy, still checking out my options 🙂
