ceebees :  I’ll reply in here to keep the extension talk here. You or your stylist can tone human hair extensions to a certain extension,  I shouldn’t recommend it though because the chemicals they apply to hair during the extension creation process can make the hair take color weirdly.

That said,  I buy the lightest color and tone/color mine to match better.  My natural hair is between my chin and shoulders though,  so blending is my biggest issue, but that’s what a stylist is for lol.

There are online extension companies that will color match you and offer a money back guarantee as long as you didn’t actually wear the hair.  Let me think and I may remember one.. .

ETA,  I thought it was VP fashion,  but they just offer pics of real people with that hair color.  People on YouTube seem to like them,  so they may be worth a shot.  I’ve never ordered from them. Maybe color 7?

My DIY halo plopped on my hair,  I was playing with makeup today,   but this is not the foundation for me. Oh well,  I like my curly hair and I like that it’s curled so I don’t have to do anything by my own hair,  I plop the halo on and pull out my own hair. I do tie up the bottom half of my hair though because it can look strange with short hair and long extensions.

Here’s a view from above so you can see the line is invisible.  I only used 2lb line and it’s so much thinner than the line on my synthetic halo.

sassy411 :  haha sassy,  thank you 🙂 it’s pretty simple actually,  I clip up the top half of my hair andpull everything from the midpoint of my ears and below into a low pony tail.  I suppose it’s good my hair is pretty thin right now because it doesn’t show up at all under the halo!

sassy411 :  my hair is short and fine, so it’s not big enough to make a bumf in the extensions. I tried taking a pic, but it just didn’t show much.

I like the halo,  but ended up having my tapes put in today .I can’t believe we are 2 weeks away from the wedding.

The lady I wanted to use cancelled while I was driving to her salon (needless to say I was not impressed), so I stopped at a local salon and asked if they could do it. They’d never done tapes before and had no idea what they were doing,  but they also only charged $40 for installing and blending them in a little.

I do wish they’d done more blending and I may go somewhere else to get them cut.  In the meantime,  Here ismy temporarily long hair lol. TBH,  I’m going to keep going back and learning better tips to give them because you can’t beat the price and they are super nice.

They also have good prices on color,  haircuts,  and do standalone keratin and planned treatments,  so i may transition to less DIY and more professional hair care in person.  IDK,  I actually like doing my color and cuts and feel a bit scared about letting anyone else do it lol.
