My friend did my makeup, which worked out great! We went to Sephora and got me color matched, but she had already done all the research for what to use. I have pretty normal skin, it does get a little dry, but I didn’t want a matte look that day reguardless. Here is what I remember using!

Foundation: Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Radiance-Perfecting Foundation (LOVED this, it gives full coverage but does not feel like you have anything on your face. Plus its super hydrating and it has all kinds of good stuff for your face in it!)

Concealer: Tarte Creaseless Under Eye Concealer

Bronzer (for contour): Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Mascara: Benefit Roller lash and They’re Real

Eyeliner: stila Stay all Day waterproof eyeliner

Lashes: Sephora lashes

That is all that I remember! She used blush and eyeshadow, etc, I just don’t know what exactly she used! All of this stuff was mine (I kept it) but the other pallets she used were hers.

I got my makeup done by a MUA but used all my own products. I have combination skin (oily T zones and dry everywhere else) and I used Too Faced born this way foundation. It’s moisturizing without making me feel greasy in my T zones, and has such a luminous finish to it. Any transluscent powder will work to set it, but I have heard good things about Laura Mercier and Charlotte Tilbury setting powders. On top of my powder I used urban decay’s all nighter setting spray and it held up beautifully!

First – Congratulations!! 😊

For me I used the Diorskin Forever liquid foundation – not sure if it’s been reformulated since 2012, but I set it with Laura Mercier translucent setting powder. I also applied a light layer of powder to my skin after my moisturizer to help smooth out my pores without adding a thick primer. My makeup didnt budge at all and the foundation stayed satin matte all day/night! Also no flashback with LM powder!

Best setting spray (for me) is Make up forever Mist and fix! Locks everything in and “melts” any powdery finish while boosting hydration!

Mascara was diorshow iconic over curl (waterproof) and some Ardell false lashes.

Blush was Nars amore I believe (fantastic staying power!)

Lips was a now discontinued Make up forever Matte lipstick – looked like an “exaggerated natural” lip color. You could see it but it just enhanced my natural color.

Concealer – I used a light color corrector and ysl touch eclat mixed with my foundation and set with my LM powder.

Shadow – make up forever (2 natural earth tones)

Highlighter – super old Dior highlight that has since been discontinued. It was similar to the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, but less shimmer finish and more of a satin finish.

Most of this stuff I still use now minus the discontinued stuff and the foundation. Nowadays I really like tarte’s shapetape foundation/ concealer for my complexion! No flashback and great wearable coverage! Very smoothing and long wearing as well! I also swear by the hoola bronzer from benefit. Beautiful natural color that you can use to contour with! Becca makes flawless highlighters that  don’t look glittery. For lips I only wear Matte lipstick personally, but if you like long wearing lipstick with varying finishes, NARS and makeup forever have great formulas!

Hope this helps!

I had a MUA do my makeup, but she used my foundation of choice for the day Teinte Idole Ultra from Lancome. It held up GREAT for heat, humidity, finish (matte) which was a great “foundation” for some of the other products to stick to and then do some illuminating powders, highlight, etc.

There wasn’t any flashback in photos, it held up July heat in the South with sweat, bugs, all day wear and didn’t break down around T zone or cheek area where people were kissing me on the cheek or I was hugging people. Also held up on the tip of my nose where Darling Husband and I were kissing for a lot of pictures and obviously just kissing in general because duh, married.

My *one* complaint is it is not kind to lines or wrinkles– which I had a face full of botox when I got married, but since then I’ve been pregnant and breastfeeding– so sadly, my Botox is on hold until I am done nursing… and I noticed it looks less great on me now that my fine lines are now showing through.

ETA: I also have dry skin and did rounds of Acutane, so that is also a concern of mine. But, I found that moisturizer and good primer helped keep it smooth looking. Also I did microdermabrasion prior to the day, so that helped my skin look really bright and removed some dry patches with A LOT of moisturizer afterwards

Coty Airspun powder is fantastic. I spend about £12 to get it in the UK, but I’m pretty sure in America it’s only a few dollars.

wineosaur :  I was really happy with it! It masked my bags really good and didn’t get stuck in those creases!

wineosaur :  I did a 6 pack with my local aesthetician group when they were having a buy 4 get 2 deal… so I spaced them out about every 6-8 weeks and left one for about 3-4 days before I got married. I already knew how my skin would respond, and it’s actually pretty gentle/ doesn’t leave your face red for more than a few hours… so it always looks the best the couple days immediately after.

But I found a big improvement with it helping diminish sunspots, dry skin patches and making some of my pores look less noticeable and overall just sqeaky clean!

wineosaur :  Oh yeah, and last thing was I set it all with Urban Decay All Nighter. Didn’t move.
