windowlulu:

Awesome! are you going to belt it? I usually like belts but your figure looks AMAZING without one so I don’t know what I’d do if i were you!

sarahtaylor:  thank you! I’m not going to belt it I think! Not a huge fan of belts and i think I might confuse myself further if I get more accessories haha!!

Anyway, so sorry I so did not read this carefully – and I know the question was for size 12/14 brides but the boning on this dress is superb! Seriously holds everything in!!!

There was a second runner up that featured a lace up corset on the inside that gave a similar kind of shape! It’s not quite my style but I have to say mermaids that come with incredible boning or corsets make you look like a million bucks!

sarahtaylor:  I didn’t manage to get the dress number cos the salon was really secretive but it’s a by Sottero Midgeley and it was $2800 before taxes. It was on sale for $2200 though! Its ivory with pewter and opal beading and a nude underlay in the lower skirt. Super beautiful on but a bit too much for me!!

My Allure is a size 12 but I’m a street size 8. I love mine!! It hasn’t even been altered yet, and fits pretty well,  I have no doubt that once it’s altered it will hold everything in. I have buttons going down teh back covering a zipper as well. First pic is terrible lighting, but the dress that actually zips. The one in the store was a size too small, so the consultant is holding it closed in the back, but you can see it better.
