I discovered moissanite almost 4 years ago. I met someone who had one and I thought it was stunning, so I did some research and decided it was what I wanted if I ever got engaged.
My boyfriend is going to propose before Christmas 2014. When the topic first came up I told him flat out, that I wanted a moissanite. I know he’s been looking at moissaniteco.com because he’s shown me the rings he’s considering. I’m so excited to finally have my guy and now I’m nervous about the stone. Let’s talk moissanite ladies! How long have you had it? How does it hold up? How does the shine and brilliance hold up over time? Do you still love it years later? Show me your rings!
Also – did anyone find local jewelers that sell moissanite? How did you locate them?

I have eave two moissanite rings, a pendant and some earrings. I am obsessed with moissanite! The three stone ring is from moissaniteco, my pendant and earrings are from moissanite.com and my solitaire was custom ordered through my jeweler. My solitaire is a FB moissanite…which I highly recommend. I didn’t like the look of unenhanced moissanite (three stone ring). It showed to much yellow. I’m currently having a 3/4 eternity 3mm FB wedding band made and can’t wait. I suggest you choose FB or Amora moissanite upgrade!

I cannot attest to time yet, just got engaged yesterday! But I have a 2ct FB moissanite with little blue diamonds on the side and I love it!
Edit: We bought mine through a local jeweler that had orderd Charles & Coulvard in for us to look at.

I have a moissy from a previous engagement that was 4 years ago and its still every bit as beautiful as the day I got it. And, I am engaged again (for the last time) and got another moissy, of course. =)

SoonToBeMrs2015: I’ve had mine for 4+ years and it’s just as sparkly as the day I got it. I don’t take it off unless I’m cleaning it. It’s a 6mm FB (the sidestones are diamonds) that we purchased from a small local jeweler.

SoonToBeMrs2015: My Fiance proposed about a month ago with a 7.5mm FB cushion and it truly is a beautiful stone! Both of us are very happy with our decision to go with a moissy. I’ll share a picture if I am able to figure out how to post one (that isn’t gigantic).

I’ve only had mine since December but I have no complaints with MoissaniteCo’s quality and I love my ring. I’m already married but I still catch myself staring at it.

I have a unenhanced moissy and an enhanced moissy. My bezel(enhanced RB) I have had for 3 years, is from MCO and its held up great! My ering which is a cushion halo(unenhanced OEC) was made by David Klass, he is wondeful. I love moissy. I wouldnt ever choose something different. You wont regret it!

SoonToBeMrs2015: There are about a million threads just like this, but I guess one more moissy thread doesn’t hurt. My original e-ring was a tiny diamond that I took off so it could have a 1/2c moissy. Then for our 5 year anniversary last summer, I got MoissaniteCo eng689 in Palladium with a 1.25c Classic/unenhanced Moissanite in size 6.5. I love it so much and I always tell pre-engaged couples about Moissanite whenever possible. I would never want a diamond if I could have a moissy on my finger!

msformaldehyde: Both are lovely rings! Do you prefer the unenhanced or the enhanced? I have a moissy eternity band that I use as my one multi-purpose ring (work issues with jewellery), but I’d love to get a solitare to go with it to wear in my off hours and can’t decide unenhanced vs. forever brilliant vs. amora.

Here’s a shot of my 2.2 cushion solitaire. If anyone can let me know how to resize photos on here that would be great. This picture is huge!

I have a 1.35 ct forever brilliant moissanite from moisaniteco.com, and I love it!! I get all kinds of compliments on it, and ebenthough I’ve had it for a year and a half I still stare at it sometimes, lol.
I will say that moissyco is not a company I would ever recomend to anyone else, I find their aftercare service lacking and their rings are not the best quality. If I could do it again, I would have gotten in touch with a local jeweler of good repute and worked with them.
Here’s my girl!

sexymama118: those are beautiful! thank you so much for sharing. i haven’t seen a FB moissanite in person, so i haven’t been able to decide if i wanted a FB or not. i really enjoy the color in the unenhanced stone. yours are so beautiful!

msformaldehyde: both of your rings are so beautiful! thank you so much for posting both. it helped a lot. i really think i like the color in the unenhanced stone, more than the FB stone. how did you find david klass? did your order online?
