Ok so after losing weight I still cannot fit my dress, my behind will not shrink. So I have decided to invest in a pair of spanx. I got online and am so confused about which one to order. I need something to slim my tummy and love handles. I see the high waisted ones, brief ones (which I think will not be cut in the right place due to the dress cut). I also just saw crotchless spanx which seem interesting since I’m wondering how do I get these things down with a wedding dress on.
Anyone else used them? What was your experiance? Which would you order?
After losing 15 lbs the dress wrinkles even more since I can’t get it past my butt

Great job on the weight loss! This is my favorite smoother, especially tummy, hips and thighs. It is available at Macy’s and comes in black as well. Straps can be removed. There was a strange annoying snap crotch brief that is attached but I cut it out. I love it so much I bought one black too.

@baletrina: oooh they dont’ have that online. Is that piping on the tummy?
I also didn’t know macy’s carried them. That helps, do they let you try them on?

I got mine from Nordstrom rack.. They are the shorts that go up to your bra line.. They suck a lot in but at the same time I can’t wear them with jeans or anything… They were $40 though and a great investment!!!

@Happy7: Yes, you can try them on. The bands on the front cover the seams so there is no seam lines. You can definitely try them on at Macy’s. I think it may be Wacoal.

This is the one I got, in nude: http://www.spanx.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4058277′ defer=’defer
It takes about about an inch and a half off of my waistline, so it smushes in some of my belly.
It has the hole for going to the bathroom, but the material bothers me in such…sensative areas, so I can’t imagine going without undies. Mine rolled down fairly easy, even when sweaty. I wore it for our engagement/STD photo shoot. I fit into my dress, but Spanx is my “backup plan.”

I just saw their “Slim-Cognito Shaping Suit” which might be perfect for me – then I can avoid wearing a bra too! I am a little concerned about the double gusseted hole for ease in going to the bathroom, as BetterSherm mentioned the material was a little bothersome. I also wonder if it’s going to add to keeping me overly warm – I’m already a little concerned about getting overheated in my big ol’ satin gown. Do any of you find that to be an issue?

I wore the Spanx that are like bicycle shorts that go up to my bra line. They have a hole for going to the bathroom. I wear underwear under them.
I wear them under dresses for all fancy occasions. I think they’re super comfortable.
