This is mine! I was looking up my cake from my photographer’s website so I could post on here and found people’s blogs claiming they made this cake and it’s theirs! And also a bakery in Orlando using pictures of it on their gallery like they made it! And I don’t live anywhere near orlando! People be crayyy! Anyway here it is:
It was $300 for 3 tier to feed 150 people. Flavors where chocolate with custard and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yum!

Just planning my cake now, I know I want 3 tiers, round, with the top tier being saved. To serve around 75 guests, so hoping I can find somewhere not too expensive

I was so very proud of my little cakes so I have to share!
We had cheesecake for everyone (it was delicious and I believe about a dollar a slice?)
All of the wedding cakes around here were extremely expensive especially with how many people we had to feed so we did the cheesecake and had a couple of Wegmans chocolate cakes set up for us to cut!
We had an enchanted forest themed wedding 🙂 I added the very real looking edible butterflies myself! I got them off Etsy for like $7 Total for cakes I think was $15 dollars? So under $25!

Mine was 3 tiers, fruit cake on the bottom, red velvet middle and normal sponge on the top. My mum made and decorated it so it didn’t cost much but took a long time. This is the only picture I have on my phone. It’s meant to combine the art deco and lily parts of the wedding.

It’s kind of sad how excited i am for our cakes.
We’re having a small wedding, so rather than one big cake we decided to do SIX normal-sized specialty cakes so we can get all different flavors. So each cake will only serve 8-10, but our flavors are:
Tradtional: chocolate, vanilla
Fruity: raspberrry and lemon-coconut
More Unique: chocolate-orange (YUM) and yellow cake with maple filling/frosting

our total dessert bar price was $565 but that includes a two tier wedding cake (strawberry banana) , an 8 inch round german chocolate, split lemon, and carrot cake as well as a grooms cake. Not to mention chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, and various candies… we got a really good deal. we paid for 120 people and there will bee 98 people at our wedding. Also we are going with a square cake because they tend to feed more. Dont have any pictures yet.. but I will after next Saturday.

This is just a closeup, but you can see the rosettes. It was 3 tiers, 3 different flavors, butter cream icing to serve 120 people for $350. Grocery stores FTW!

I can do this finally. We had four layers. The bottom was a chocolate cake with a hazelnut cream filing, 2nd from bottom was a white cake with a guava mousse filling (so dang yummy), 3rd from bottom was a lemon cake with a lemon mousse filling, and the top was a dark chocolate gnouche cake with a chocolate espresso filling. We did not want a white cake at all, so the outer layer of frosting was a grey color since our theme was black, silver and purple. The shapes were round and hexigonal tiers.

@Barbiestylez: Oooh, do the strawberry vanilla cream!! Yum! I have a huge Pinterest cake board too if you want to check it out. I think we have similar styles. You can definitely get a cheaper cake if you pick less embellishment. I was shocked that we got sugar flowers! I thought for sure that was going to be too expensive. It was a big surprise seeing the cake on the day of the wedding. I had NO idea what it was going to look like!
Our cake was $295 (pictured below). A total bargain!! I have no idea how we scored this price. Our caterer priced it at $4/pp and we estimated 75 guests (only had 48 though). The top and bottom layers were almond cake and the middle was vanilla with raspberry chocolate ganache. Mmm, makes me drool just thinking about it.

That is the picture I showed my baker! Then I showed her this one because I like the darker colors!
Because of costs, we are doing two layers of the flower basket cake, and then two individual layers of the second cake. She was going to do two sheet cakes of the second cake, but she wants to keep them round to go with the round basket cake.

I am thinking about changing my mind again though, as my Fiance mentioned a cake he liked on one of the wedding shows he was watching me, it was a photograph cake, and while I’m all about the flower basket cake, I’d rather it be about us. I like how this one came out
I may try to see if my baker can do a cross between the strawberry chocolate cake and this one.
