I tease….I am thoroughly enjoying reading about the other states!

I love that in CA you have the beach, moutains and desert. There is so much to do and see in here! I live on the Central Coast and for the most part, the weather is fantastic year round!

What I like the least: the job market is really bad right now and we’re seen as a progressive state yet we are still fighting to have marriage equality.

Seafood.  Oysters prepared every possible way, BBQ shrimp poboys, crawfish cakes, crawfish strudel, crawfish sacks, crawfish beignets, boiled crawfish…stopping before I sound any more like Bubba from Forrest Gump…

Beautiful costumes at Mardi Gras, getting sweaty and dirty at Jazz Fest, mint juleps whenever I damn well please, and minimal winter.  

People complain about the humidity, and it is hazardous for one’s hair, but it makes my skin healthy and glisten-y (never once needed moisturizer until I moved to NYC for college) and nothing beats the smell of jasmine on a muggy summer night.  

Dislikes:  Not too wild about the non-New-Orleans parts of the state…a TAD conservative for my taste.

MA has universal mandatory healthcare – I love that about it! We also don’t have sales tax on clothes. Loooove that.

I can see Russia from my house!

OK, no, I can’t. What I do love is that Alaskans are so proud to be Alaskan. And it’s unique — there aren’t very many of us, and it’s always a conversation starter when I travel. I love that my family has been here since before it was a state. And it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever been.

I live in Nevada.  I hate it and I think it’s a useless shithole, but I *do* like the mountains.  I grew up in a flat, flat state (michigan) and the mountains are a nice change of scenery.

I live in a very rural area in between Toronto and Ottawa. I love that I can drive one way and reach the capital of Ontario and drive the other way and reach the capital of Canada (:

Plus I love the really fresh air where I live and the gorgeous landscape!

I forgot to add that I just drove 10 minutes to a huge, beautiful mall and then changed my mind and drove 15 minutes the other way to go to another huge, beautiul mall!! 😛  I love to shop, so for me, NJ can’t be beat – especially North New Jersey.  Just popped into Gucci and grabbed a wallet for my sis and then stopped at Tiffany’s to get a bracelet for a co-worker birthday twin and then skimmed through Saks 5th Ave and got myself a sweater on a major sale!! All in the same building <3  If you’re a shopaholic like me, it’s heaven!!

Did I mention this same mall has Maison du Chocolat????  Yummm…best chocolat ever!
