Can you print regular invitations on letterpress paper? I have seen it done with a gocco but I am wondering if it will work with a printer and if anyone knows of printing services that can do it on letterpress paper.

I whitneyrich,
I guess your question can be best answered best by letterpress studios directly since they are the experts. You can find a lot of letterpress studios at http://www.weloveletterpress.com . I hope that helps!

@whitneyrich: It’s reallllyyyyy thick, and since the papers are cotton – the fibers flake off and clog up your printer really really fast.
Letterpress printers always complain about sending the cotton paper envelopes through the printer to put the guest address on. It can ruin an expensive printer FAST.
A good alternative that people have done diy here, is printed on watercolor paper. Look at Mrs Deviled Eggs – http://diy.weddingbee.com/topic/mrs-deviled-eggs-deviled-egg-invites-the-big-reveal
I tried it out, it looks amazing. Works better with inkjet, as opposed to laser. I almost want to do it myself, but I’m too in love with letterpress!
