If you got a positive just get to BDing.  You may have been positive yesterday too you’ll never know.  Some girls have a quick LH surge that can be missed easily because it doesn’t last very long. I think the norm is 12-36 hours it lasts. I had positives for days and days this month.  My OB told me as soon as you have a postive just stop testing but I can’t help but keep testng to see when it fades out.  Usually you ovulate 24-48 hours after you get a positive OPK so start doing the deed now and for the next couple days. But there really is no way to know for sure if you actually ovulated unless you are temping. The LH surge just tells your body that its preparing to release the egg, not that it definately will.  I wouldn’t worry about yesterday since you clearly got a positive today.

@Issyboo:  The surge can last for a few hours to a few days. But the egg is usually released when the surge is over, so get to BD’ing and test until it turns negative again! Yay for positive OPK’s!! GL!

I think if you were pregnant you probably wouldn’t be ovulating. It IS possible, but extremely rare. I did read that if you’re pregnant you CAN get a positive ovulation test. I might hold off a couple days and do another PG test! Go girl!

Well that is def a positive pregnancy test! Some people become super fertile after getting off BCP. Could it be possible you had your perdiod Sept 20th, and then ovulated really early and the bleeding you saw on October 11th was implantation bleeding? I have heard if your pregnant  you can get a positive OPK.  It is very rare to get a positive pregnancy test and you not be pregnant. So I would say congrats, and go buy more digitals and take some more tests!

Wow congrats! Usually when couples decide to start activly TTC they don’t get a “surprise” BFP. Since everyone is counting down the days to take a pregnancy test. How cool to be excited thinking your ovulating then realize your already pregnant!
