@SugarBean:  Oh yeah I’ve been there. But after a few months of disappointment, now I tell myself AF is coming every time I pee a day or two before she starts. I guess it’s okay b/c one day maybe I’ll be surprised.

I used to allow myself to be more hopeful, but now like @Lyndzo: I too am conviced every time I pee that I will see AF, so much so that I go to the bathroom more regularly just to check! FX we all get a surprise soon and AF stays away!

@SugarBean:  Yes and I should know better. I have cramps, light spotting and a dropping temperature, but I’m considering POAS tonight because even though a BFN will make me cry, I can rationalize away all of the above. I may instead pick up a bottle of chardoney on the way home, because all the signs point to “AF is coming to town” and she likes her sauce.

I did this, but only once.  I never spot before my period and i had one cycle when i spotted for like two days, so I thought “this is it” and it wasnt at all, just my body playing tricks with me…however, i hope it is for you :)))

That seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me! I always spot before AF so I don’t POAS if I don’t have much hope left because it just stings more seeing a negative test.

I’m not TTC and I do this all the time! I have such a wonky cycle that if I spot, and then it disappears for a week I buy a test. At one point I would buy the packs with the “freebie” and keep them in the house. I’m pretty sure my Fiance has become desensitized to seeing them in our trash by now.

If you have tried as long as I have, you come to the realization that you shouldn’t test until AF is due. Hope starts to dwindle and it gets REALLY old seeing the BFN’s. Good luck to you!

I’m with @RoyalLime:, after trying for so long you start to just wait it out and see if AF shows. It’s a lot easier to handle when you expect AF to show then to really think you’re KU and then find out you aren’t.

I just had the tiniest bit of spotting last night (AF is due tomorrow) and I have been TTC for 10 months and am still holding out hope. I don’t know that it gets better. I know in my head that I shouldn’t test until AF is past due, but come 10dpo all of that goes out the window for me. I guess it’s just a matter of if you can handle seeing BFN’s or not. GL to you!!

@SugarBean: No such thing as Too Much Information here. 🙂 Definitely test in the morning and keep us updated! FX!!

@SugarBean:  How many DPO are you? If you still don’t have AF then there is still hope, could just be not showing up on the test yet!

My favourite little fantasy is that the 2 lines on my OPK are actually a different kind of test…lol.  Almost every time.
