I’ve always wondered how many flags it takes for a commenter to be disciplined. Sometimes I wonder if my flagging does any good if it’s on its own, rather than with a group of “flags” clicked by a lot of people.

Haha that’s funny!  Nah we don’t really have shifts, we all pop in when we have time.  It’s tough since a lot of us are US bees so we miss a lot of the late night hours!

@StuporDuck:  As for flags, we review each one even if only one person flags it.  We have a group moderation so we all look at moderated comments in order to determine the best course of action.

This is funny, I’ve always wonder as well how you ladies work. Also how do you become an MOD/Hostess?

@pineapplelove:  Sorry, don’t mean to thread jack by asking this question

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy:  Oh cool, I never knew there was an application to apply, I thought MOD/Hostess got randomly picked out by previous MOD/Hostess… Thanks for that.

I really wish this is how the bee gets moderated… It’s what I imagine… and it’s awesome! 😉

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy:  Thanks! I was just trying to find that 🙂

Everything that MissAsB said 🙂 She’s so smart! Basically when we see flags come in, they each get reviewed, we discuss them, and if we feel that it warrants action, we do so. We try not to make it an overly complicated system to say the least! So whether something gets one flag or twenty, it’s reviewed all the same.

Surprisingly, most of the stuff we take care of daily is keeping spammers off the boards and answering support requests. It’s pretty quiet and we like it that way, LOL!

@bakerella:  So when something gets flagged do ALL MODs get a notice/alert and then you all talk to each other about it?

@couawilou:  All of the mods are notified of flags. It doesn’t just go to one person. We may not all be online at the same time, but we all recieve the notification.
