I keep thinking about this, and I’m still torn. I want to wear a blusher… and I don’t feel like any less of a woman for doing so… so I don’t want to hear anyone talk about why I shouldn’t or you aren’t.
My question is about feasibility. We’re having a full nuptial mass. I would prefer for the groom to lift the veil, but that’s when, at the kiss? So essentially probably 40 min. into the ceremony?
Anyone else do this? Is it weird sitting in the church for that long under the veil? lol

I think your dad could lift the veil for you? But I am also wearing a blusher (yes semi-liberal me lol!!) But we are having a fairly short ceremony (15-20 minutes at the most). I don’t think it’s weird at all.

My dad lifted the veil when we reached the end of the aisle and he “gave me away”. My Maid/Matron of Honor helped me get everything re-arranged while we all got situated for the beginning of the mass.

Yes pops can lift the veil when he “gives you away.” I sat through most of our long ceremony (not a mass-blame the heathen husband for that one, but still loooong) with a birdcage veil covering my face, and I was fine. Didn’t even give it a thought, but a blusher is a little different. LOVE the way they look.

my dad will lift the veil, but I’ve seen some ceremonies where the groom lifts it. I think it goes either way.
