I haven’t bought a wedding dress but I have bought formal wear. I did a lot of research prior to ordering and the general consensus was that you need to order custom sizing and not straight sizes. Some will send you material samples for a fee which for a wedding dress may not be a bad idea.

The quality was good but have realistic expectations.

I got my bridesmaids dresses there, as did my sister and one of her friends – eight dresses between the three of us.  We were all happy with the quality but I agree that custom sizing is definitely the way to go.  Also, use a throwaway email address because you will NEVER get off their mailing list!

I bought my Maid/Matron of Honor dress from there and my research showed the exact opposite of the PP, that you order straight sizes and not custom sizes.  I sew a lot so I can tell quality craftsmanship and my dress was beautifully made.  Absolutely no structure to it though so I had to wear some undergarments, but I knew that going in because of the reviews and pictures people posted of the dress I got.

I didn’t buy my wedding dress from there but did buy two formal gowns from there but my experience was AWFUL. The quality of their stuff was terrible and the sizing is confusing. One dress that had sparkles and sequins was not wearable because the quality was so bad, the sequins weren’t sewn on they were glued on and began falling off like mad when I took it out of the packaging. I spent an hour cleaning up my carpet and still find sequins weeks later. I tried to return both dresses and they initially wouldn’t refund me for the sequined one saying it was a made to order item – be aware of this!! It doesn’t mean custom sizing like you would expect. It just means they don’t make it until someone orders it and thus it is not refundable! But after arguing with them over several weeks about the bad quality they did finally refund me. But you pay your own shipping costs which was about $65 USD from where I am. Overall it was a really frustrating experience. I’d just be really aware of what you’re getting into with them.
