I’m contemplating wheter or not to highlight my dark brown hair for wedding. I absolutely love my dark hair haven’t colored it since highschool days where I always highlighted it different colors (caramel, honey, BLONDE), but I have no idea if I want to do it again I don’t even think girls highlight their hair anymore lol! Also, I plan on wearing my hair down (not sure if that matters)
Should I lighten up or stay on the dark side?? 🙂
What are you doing or have done for your wedding? I want to pop! just not sure how and what way to do so lol I’m so confused!

I voted stay on the dark side… your dress and viel will be light so your dark hair will really stand out!

I would reccommend keeping your hair dark- it’s what your FH and all of your family are probably used to, and you don’t want to look back on your wedding in 20 years and think, “what’s up with my hair?!”
Your wedding should be a day where you look like your normal self, only dolled up a bit more 🙂 Plus, I LOVE dark hair.

Blonde highlights on brunettes remind me of high school trends in Dallas, TX circa 2000. (I know because all the girls at my high school did it. It’s not a good look – makes you look like a zebra head. Too much contrast!)

You can always low light your hair. I have dark blonde hair and even super blonde looks harsh on me sometimes. Instead I now I have my hair stylist add one shade darker for one color, one shade lighter and one shade redder. It adds 3 colors to my color but none are very different from my real color. The effect is incredibly subtle but I like it. It makes me feel brighter!

I agree..Stay with the dark hair. It looks AMAZING with the white dress. Very sexy and exotic looking!!

@Zaria: dark it is 🙂
@crayfish: ahha that’s great I do remember that as well in High School but I always went for the color more natural to my hair which was a lighter brown/honey color. I had it really blonde when I was a teen and I looked like a banana! lol!
