I have been reading and researching ways to light paper lanterns. After much shopping and internet searching I am happy to say I found something @ Michael’s today. In the wedding section, they had a 2-pk of battery powered lights called Celebration Lights. They are $1.99 for 2 or there is a 12 pack for $9.99. They work perfect and have a little loop to hang inside your lantern. I am so happy to have found these. And don’t forget to use your Michael’s 40% off coupon! This makes it the most inexpensive as well as convenient way I have found to light them. Love the fact that you don’t have to worry about cords running everywhere and you can hang them at various heights. Also no making throwies!!!

Can you take a picture of them? These sound perfect ! How many batteries do you need for each light? I hope they have them at Michaels in Cananda.

@Mandydee: You don’t need to buy any batteries for them. Everything you need is there. You just twist and they light! Maybe you mean how many do you need per lantern? It is plenty bright enough for the smaller lanterns, could take 2 to light the large ones. But it is still a great bargain. And oh so easy!!!! With the coupon and buying the 12 pack, it makes them $6 for 12 of them!!

@jehortonx2: i am doing the same thing. AND used my coupon =)
i reccomend taking them all out and just trying them because in one package that i got one of the lights did not work, it would stink to be your wedding day and be short a couple lights!
