So my train is… long, to say the least. And one of the biggest concerns I have about our wedding day is how we are going to be able to light the unity candle and move around with my monstrocity following behind me. I mean, when I turn back around to go to the alter I don’t want to be tripping over my dress and when we get back down I want it to be nice and pretty again. Do I really just have my Maid/Matron of Honor following behind me “fluffing” my dress?

@Mrs Hedgehog: Yup! That was my MOH’s main duty on the big day, making sure my dress and veil were properly adjusted at all times.

Maybe just have her help when you go to turn back around? I don’t really see a way around it…

I’d ask your Maid/Matron of Honor to help out, it shouldn’t be too big of a distraction if it’s just a quick re-arrange. Or you could see about having your flowergirl(s) help out, that’d be pretty adorable 🙂

What’s your venue, by the way? Curious since I live in Dallas, too…

It would be good to have her adjust it. I didn’t think of it myself and was sort of kicking mine around, not very ladylike at the altar!

@MissHoneyBun: Bass Hall. The ceremony is on the grand staircase
(For those who have never seen it before this is a wedding that took place there) We will also have a chuppah to contend with.
Mr. Hedgie and the Coordinator getting some measurements. (I wish we could get rid of the hand rails but, just one more way to decorate I guess! lol
