Hi MelAus

I also have been looking into Lily’s online bridal and trying to determine their credibility. Not a whole lot is told from the website but I did find their Ebay store which looks promising. They have feedback from 30 buyers as well as pictures of real brides in their dresses. It looks promising but I am continuing to research. Did you find anything new on them?

The beautiful but absolutely unaffordable Christos gown I’ve got my heart set is there at Lily’s and I’m strongly considering going for it. Their testimonials look pretty good, as do their pics of real brides. If anyone has taken the plunge and gone for Lily’s, I’d love to hear how it turned out! If I end up buying from there, I’ll be sure to post some pics.

I ordered my dress from Lily’s last week… I’m way nervous about it but I decided that the ($7000) dress I had my heart set on would never be mine so a copy was as good as I could get. They were really good about communicating with me about exactly what I want and we sent loads of pictures and emails back and forth before deciding. That all reassured me and hopefully the dress will be beautiful. I’ll post pictures in 8-10 weeks when it arrives…

@rach16: Thanks for the nudge, I’ve been meaning to post pictures of it for weeks now! First of all, let me say that the company was really pleasant the whole way through, BUT, I ordered my dress the first week in January, they then told me it wouldn’t be ready until mid March and it actually ended up not getting here until May! So if you’re in a rush it might not be the best way to go! That being said, I really like my dress and it cost a fraction of what the designer version would have. I don’t have pictures of me wearing it because it’s a bit big and needs some alterations, this is my fault as I knew I was going to lose weight between ordering it and receiving it but still ordered it in the size I was in January just in case! I had asked for a sweetheart neckline and it’s not as sweethearted as I had asked for, but hopefully that will be an easy fix. Other than that, I absolutely love how it turned out. The fabric is really nice and not at all scratchy or cheap looking like I had feared (it’s not handmade french lace like the designer version, but I don’t need that!). The beading around the waist is really well done and it is all sewn, not glued on, as I know some brides with internet dresses have found. There are definitely a few little things, like a piece of lace I’d like to be trimmed here and there, but I’ve got a good seamstress to take it in, fix the neckline, put in a bustle and tidy up a few little things so all is well. I think even when you order the designer version you still probably have a few things that you want changed when it arrives, that’s what fittings are for, right?

So, without further ado, here is the dress I wanted, Rivini Dari: http://www.stylemepretty.com/lookbook/rivini/wedding-dresses-fall-2010/dari/

And here are some pictures of the dress that came from Lily’s…please excuse the mess!

@amyellabella:

wow it looks amazing!! very much like the original! im so impressed. the lace looks gorgeous! how exciting, congratulations!

i might put my order in November/December as my wedding is June, that would give me ample time for alterations. im just a little worried as the bottom of the dress i want may be a little hard to do, but i have seen their ball gown (the Vera Wang Diana) which has the similar detail and that was a very good replica.

this is the dress i want to replicate

they have quoted me $1800 for silk materials, which is soo much cheaper than the original. im totally in love with it, but if it comes out completely different, i will be so disappointed!

@adw2c:

i think lily’s online bridal is based in Texas, their website is lilysonlinebridal.com. the dress above they dont have on their website but i sent them pictures and they say they can copy it

@adw2c: Thanks, once I tried this gown on in the shop I just had to have it but it was WAY out of my price range! It cost $880 from Lily’s and for that price I couldn’t be happier with it. Like I said, it needs a few alterations but from what I understand even if I’d ordered the $7.5k version it would still need some alterations! I’m not sure where they’re based but I know they shipped my veil from the USA (not sure about the dress actually as they were shipped seperately!).

@rach16: I was really worried about ordering mine because of all the tiering and how intricate the beaded belt is, but I think they did a great job with it. It wasn’t on their website either but they said they could make it and sent me pictures of the materials they would use (there are two different types of lace on the dress) so I could ok it before they started. In the end I felt fairly confident that I would get something very close to the dress I ordered and it definitely is! Good luck to you if you decide to do it!

@USAandKSA: Thank you!! I’m really happy with it!

Hello,

I’ve been doing some research for a while on buying knockoff type dresses online, and like what I have heard about lilys… I’m wanting a chiffon/tulle dress, they seem to have the nicest fabrics.

Anyways, I was browsing their website last Monday, planning to send them an email later that evening, and their website went down.

I’m curious if any of you who have tried to contact them or have ordered from them before might have their contact info? Either email, phone number, or mailing address? I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!
