- Wedding: April 2013
So, I just wanted some advice on this, even though it’s not really a big deal…
Fiance and are having a dry wedding due to the fact that our ceremony and reception will be held in a park and they don’t allow alcoholic beverages on the premises. We decided that, after the reception (which will end around 9:30-10), we would go out bar-hopping with whomever wanted to go (it would be casual and informal). Then, a groomsmen suggested getting a limo so no one has to drive since we’ll be drinking. (Our wedding is fairly small and has several older people, so we’re not expecting a huge turn out for the impromptu “after-party”). This would be great, but we’re at the top of our small budget and can’t afford a limo. So, he suggested the wedding party members (who would more than likely want to go out and would be invited prior to the rest of the guests) chip in for a limo, but I don’t feel right asking.
Is it okay to ask people to chip in for a limo? Or should Fiance and I just get a towncar for ourselves and let everyone worry about their own transportation? Thank you in advance for the advice.
