We are getting one, its defenitly worth it, the girls will go from the hotel to the church in it and we will all go from the church to get the pictures done. It’s easier to have everybody in one spot and its also nice not to have to worry about transportation on the day of! So I vote do it, you won’t be dissappointed.

My brother will be paying for our limo, which I’m so thankful for. I think they are a big help, but not necessary. For us, our venue is 20 minutes out of town, so it’s going to take Fiance and all his groomsman to the venue, then pick me and my girls up and take us out. It will take Fiance and I home, and our friends will all be carpooling home. I also think it would be fun ride for you and you can get some cute pictures.

I won’t be having one because I’m having the ceremony and reception at the same place. However, I’ve been involved in many weddings that do use them. They are fun but I don’t know if they’re worth the expense. Probably depends on your budget. I, personally, think transportation after the wedding is more important because that’s when people are likely to have been drinnking and need a ride.  That being said limos are fun. If you do one you should totally do a toast of some kind in the limo. In the limo weddings I’ve been in, the limo was never really something I remembered or thought much about. However, I was in a Catholic wedding with a couple hour break in-between the ceremony and reception – during that time the whole wedding party plus parents went around town/the countryside in a party bus, taking pictures as we went and that was a blast. But I’m guessing the party bus is expensive.

It depends on your plan for the day I suppose. We are getting one, a 20-22 passenger limo bus! It will pick the girls up, take us to get some pictures, then to the ceremony.. It’ll stay there til after the ceremony then drive (18 person wedding party, plus me & FI) us to a few picture locations, then back to the reception — same location as ceremony. It’s just easier for us, having such a large group, to have everyone all together.. no one will be left behind stuck in traffic.. and I think it’ll be an absolute blast all hanging out in the bus together, having some drinks. It’ll be nice to get away from everything for a little bit & just be with our closest friends! I’m ALL FOR limos!!

Depends on your wedding details. Our ceremony/reception are at the same location, and our hotel is less than 1.5 miles away and always has cabs out front, so if guests ride together, it’s less than $5 total for the night pp for their transport. Shuttles were going to be over $600, so it wasn’t worth it. My Mom and our photographer will be transporting me & Fiance to the venue.

If your venue isn’t in a cab-friendly location, then I recommend it- that way you won’t have to worry about your guests drinking and driving.

We’re spending money instead on renting a passenger van for my parents’ friends who are aged 70+, to transport them from my hometown to our wedding. It’s an hour+ drive, and a number of the guests wouldn’t drive at night/in the city, etc.

I want one. Never been in one (except funerals, and that’s very different) so on my wedding day I feel like it’s a necessary splurge!
