Is anyone else following what is happening with this girl? Jesus…her life is the very definition of unmanagability! In many ways I actually feel bad for her, because it is obvious that she suffers from addiction and is in way way to deep to even realise that there is a problem. Being surrounded by enablers who will co-sign her BS only makes things so much worse.
It’s very sad to watch…it dosen’t seem like she is anywhere close to admitting she has a problem, which means she will learn nothing in rehab and the shitshow will continue afterwards. I have lived this life, where every little thing seems to be falling apart and you are constatntly waiting for the other shoe to drop…constantly surrounded by the Four Horseman of terror, bewilderment, frustration and despair….which F’s with your mind so badly that all you can manage to do is keep drinking and drugging to stop the pain until the high wears off and then repeating over and over and over and over.
I can see A LOT of my old way of life in Lindsay Lohan and I can gaurantee that if I had not gotten serious about sobriety when I did then I would be dead by now. She is only a couple of years younger than I am, so I really don’t think she has much time left to clean up her life before something tragic happens.
I wish I could grab her by the shoulders and shake her so hard and yell at her all of the things I know now that I didn’t know or refused to see or believe when I was where she is.
I know most people have no sympathy for her and I completely understand that point of view, but I also find it very heartbreaking to watch.

I always find it depressing when child actors and celebrities grow up to failure. 🙁
Drugs, alchool and fame don’t mix too well.

@sillysillybee: Amanda Bynes is heading that way too! I think she’s having a total breakdown.

@s2bmrscook: Yes she absolutely is!! Her story won’t end well either…it is so sad. They both need help.

@sillysillybee: Its very sad. I feel badly for her. Her parents are so f’ed up. She was / could still be such a beautiful, talented girl. When I see some of her pictures now I just cringe. Lay off the botox and plumpers!
I truly hopes she gets some help and turns her life around before she really hurts herself.

@s2bmrscook Yep! I just wonder which one will OD first, Lindsay Lohan or Amanda Bynes. They had such promising futures and they’ve thrown them away. Sad.

I feel so bad for Lindsay. I can’t imagine what it would be like if all of my struggles were magnified by the media. Allegedly she showed up for rehab and there were tons of paps there so she got scared and left- can’t blame the girl for that.
When most people get help they have the comfort of anonymity but she doesn’t.
Don’t even get me staretd on Amanda Bynes- it’s like one day she was regular, the next she crashed a car, the next she shaved her head and is acting all strange!

@Zhabeego: The thing is, if she stops with the drinking and drugs and plastic surgery procedures RIGHT NOW…she could be beautiful and have a great future ahead of her. She would be amazed at how fast her life would improve in every way by just stopping with the booze and drugs.

I have been rooting for her for years. I know that she has to want it for herself and I’ve given up hope that it will happen any time soon. I feel a lot of empathy for her. Her parents are obvi NOT winners.

I think it’s so sad to see happen. She basically had such a great future ahead of her and look at what she did to herself! It’s even worse that so many people seem to encourage this behaviour. It makes me cringe whenever I see people making fun of it (making skits, etc.), it just glamourizes it IMO.
It’s super sad seeing this happen to any celebrity. They have way too much going for them to just throw it away the way they do.

I don’t care much for celebrity culture, but I have heard about this trainwreck. Personally, I can’t stomach feeling pity for beautiful millionaires who choose to piss their lives away. So many people, given the chance at having all that money and opportunity, would make better choices. Everything in life is a choice. If you keep consistently making the wrong one, despite having unlimited resources at your disposal, I do not feel bad for you.

Bynes dug her own grave years ago with the way she behaved on set and with her coworkers. She made it so nobody would want to work with her, and now she’s reaping what she sowed. Nobody wants to work with her. She had a far more promising career than Lohan, but ego will get you every time no matter who you are. Girl should’ve taken a role on SNL and continued expanding her comedienne reperoire. She was such an excellent live sketch artist. Pity.

They were both so awesome when they were younger. Sigh.

No “normal” person would be able to get away with the things she has gotten away with. Since she keeps getting off the hook, she thinks this behavior is ok and nothing is wrong. Until she gets treated like a regular person and stops getting the star treatment, she will never get better.

I thought Lindsey Lohan had so much potential. I really thought she was a good actress as a child. I don’t really feel bad for her though because the only one to blame is herself.
I recently read that Amanda Byne’s behavior is suspected to be caused by mental illness, so her case is sad, IMO.
