Many places will charge more for colored linens. Do you know if your place does? I just used ivory, but had a table runner in a color.

I like the look of colored linens, but not at an extra cost if there is one.

What are your colors? and what are the colors of the centerpieces? My colors are pink, gray, and black. I’m having pink flowers. My favors will be gray with a pink label and black ribbon and then I’m doing black cloth napkins.

@caligurl: I was going to do gray tablecloths and orange napkins but after reading this thread I am thinking of doing ivory tablecloths, a gray runner, and orange napkins. Hmmmmmm!

Where do I get the runners from? Any ideas? My bridesmaids and maid of honor aren’t really involved and I hate it so I look to my fellow bees to help me out!

Our colors were blue black and white, so we did black table cloths, blue organza overlays, and white napkins. I think the color of linens depends on what you are going to do on top of the table, and whether you plan on doing a runner or overlay of some sort

Yeah once you figure out your favors it is easier to decide because if you have an accent color you can add that one for the color napkins as well.

Our colors are dark purple, metalic gold, and ivory with fall color accents. Our table cloths are dark purple, a metalic gold table runner and ivory demask napkins.

We are doing white, cream, and pale pink flowers and we wanted a warm, shimmery look to the tables because we’re having a black tie, evening wedding and the centerpieces will be lit with pinspots. I chose a linen that’s a shimmery, rose gold color.

Do you have other colors in your wedding? For example, what are the bridesmaids wearing? It would be nice to have something that contrasts with the flowers to make them pop (gray? navy?), but it kind of depends on your other colors.

oh this is too funny… I just did a little research because that linen sample looked familiar.  My venue uses the same manufacturer.  We’re doing similar colored flowers, but as an accent.  Our main color is based on the “teal” linen color.  I have Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, accent color on cake, and vase gems the same color teal!  I can’t wait to see it all come together with the peachy/orange/coral flower colors as well!

We did colored linens (we just chose ours this weekend) we went with a black bottom layer with dark purple on the top of half the tables and red on the other half on top of black. It will be complimentary to the bridesmaids dresses, which are black with color poking out the bottom, so it’s just opposite 🙂

My wedding is so colorful and I didn’t want it to end up looking like a child’s birthday party so my caterer and I came up with all white dishes and linens and the color will come from the centerpieces.
