A friend of mine designed my invitations for me, and I am having them printed at a local print shop. My invitations are printed on linen cardstock. Should my envelopes also be linen? I love the lined envelopes, but can’t find any that are linen. Is it important that the invitation paper and the envelope paper are the same?

i don’t think they have to match at all… i think it’ll actually be a nice contrast from a smoother envelope to a nice textural linen stock for the invite…. it makes the invite more special in a way. they don’t have to "match" they just need to "go together". go for it 🙂

Another option would be to get linen envelopes and add the liner yourself. We’re hoping to have paper & envelopes be in similar textures, so we decided to give up the liner (while still flirting with DIY as an option).
