I don’t think minimal brown spotting in and of itself is always a bad thing, though I don’t know how to explain the lines not getting darker. How much darker are they supposed to get? I will pee on some sticks when I get home for the day and report back.

I’m sorry your doctor won’t see you before next Wednesday. ๐Ÿ™ I can imagine how worried you must be but try to stay positive! It might just take some time. It is still SO early for you!!!

I know it’s hard, but don’t worry about it too much yet. My lines stayed quite light until I missed my period. I could barely see them at all. Now they are nice and dark.

So the first thing you need to do is stop testing. You’re going to drive yourself crazy! Each test won’t become darker (my BFF tried this method and her doctor yelled at her later since each test’s dye is different). So try a digital on the 19th and that should tell you that you are pregnant…especially if you have enough now to show up on the FRER.

As for the spotting, just keep an eye on it. I had spotting with my first pregnancy…all dark brown. As long as it’s brown, that means that it’s older blood and it might be implantation.

I know it’s so hard, but try to keep yourself calm. The blood test will for sure tell you if you are pregnant, and the 48 hour blood test will confirm that the pregnancy is growing. Unfortunately, there is a lot of waiting with pregnancy that will drive everyone crazy!

It’s really, really, really early. Most people don’t see positives yet at the stage you are at. And, I don’t think the spotting is a big deal – when I was pregnant, I had implantation bleeding that was like a light period. I actually didn’t realize I was pregnant until I missed my next period after that, when I was already 7 weeks!

Please don’t worry too much yet.  I’ve never been pregnant, but I just read this on peeonastick.com last night in their HPT FAQ:

I took another test and the line is lighter. Does this mean anything? Should it get darker? Not necessarily. In general, the positive line will be darker when a greater amount of hCG is present in the urine, but not always. Some tests contain more or less dye (meaning there is just more or less color to “stick” to your hCG.) Some tests are more or less sensitive– even 2 tests in the same box can be different. Also, your urine may have more or less hCG in it depending on what you ate or drank, or how long it’s been since you last peed. Food itself does not cause false results, but can affect how much urine you have and how dilute it is. Eating salty chips and drinking caffeine all day will result in more concentrated pee, whereas gorging on watermelon and ginger ale will result in lots of very dilute pee.But an HPT is not meant to tell you “how” pregnant you are. It only tells you if you are pregnant or not. As long as there is a line in the results window, you are pregnant.

You have just a little spotting? That could be implantation bleeding. I remember with my first, I spotted brown also.

Do you know how many DPO you are?? If AF is due on the 19 that would make you about 9 DPO today, which is really early for dark lines. A lot of girls who get BFPs on 12-14DPO, don’t get them that early, which is probably why you aren’t getting a positive with a digital. BUT it is the perfect timing for implantation bleeding, which sounds like it probably is. I had spotting on 10DPO and got my BFP on 13DPO. Looks promising to me!! If you can, Stop POAS  til Monday and recheck with a digital then so you dont keep stressing yourself out. Good luck!!

Your spotting sound like Implantation bleeding… I saw your test they are Def postive. I would listen to your doctor and STOP testing!
