It really depends on your dress and what you are comfortable in. I would have been so uncomfortable in tights all day, but if that’s you’re thing, go for it. As far as undies, I wore cheeky boy shorts because I prefer them and wanted to be comfy. I wasn’t concerned with looking sexy, I changed into lingerie before bed that night instead.

@OldMrsMcDonald:  I agree – it’s a long, busy day, so wear what’s comfortable.

If you want something sexy for the night, change at the end of the day.  At the hotel I popped into the bathroom for a quick wash, and changed lingerie then.

I was kind of not planning on wearing anything? I’m having cups sewn into my dress and I figure, why wear undies? I don’t want panty lines in my dress.

Been there done that (twice now as an Encore Bride)

Agree with the other Bees go for comfort !!

It is a very very long day.

As paula1248:  said, you can make the end of day work for you… however you wish.  (Gonna get comfortable / naked at some point any how… that is a given)

Hope this helps,

I wore comfortable undergarments and thank goodness I did. I got married in September and it was an incredibly warm day! I was so glad I didn’t go with lacy, fancy anything underneath or I would have been itching and uncomfortable. I wore a strapless bra that worked with my dress and a pair of boy short style underwear haha. I was still warm and at times but I didn’t worry about comfort one bit!

By the time I got out of my dress, Darling Husband didn’t care what I had underneath because it’s really not as attractive as one would think, you’re kind of gross if you sweat at all during the day, and the boning in my dress gave me blisters on my abdomen so here I am covered in welts and crease marks from the bra and dress digging in, a zillion hair pins in my hair.. not the most erotic set up anyways. So Darling Husband helped me out of my painful dress, helped me take out my hair pins and we showered before we even thought of getting intimate. We’ve been together a long time and lived together for a while too, so for us the wedding night wasn’t all magical in terms of lingerie and all that. That’s what the honeymoon is for ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would suggest a thigh-high Spanx for the bottom. With the whole bridal party and possibly, men, with you on the dressing room.. hehe might need a good coverup in between dressing and while being taken photographs wearing the bridal kimono during makeup session.;)

I’m not wearing lingerie under my dress, I’m going braless and wearing blue panties underneath.  I’m planning on changing into something after I get out of my dress.
