My best friend was married there in 2007.  We also had senior prom there in 2000 when it was a lot crappier.  The wedding was fun and decently nice.  It really is not a lot of frills and I wish they would have done more modern updates.  I can make much better food (but then again, I am a good cook).  Bottom line is, it is cheap.  If saving money but still having a pleasant experience is important to you, this is a good contender.

@sarahbabs: let me know if you end up seeing the place–I’m having trouble telling from the pictures whether the fake green turf will be too obvious during a wedding (I personally don’t like it)…

Congrats!! We are still in the process of looking πŸ™ and have actually moved our search to LI due to cost and our (probably too high) expectations! πŸ™ My fiance should know that I’m thorough in my research and to just trust me when I say something works hehe πŸ™‚

I am glad it worked out for you.  You are right, it can be a blank and beautiful canvas.  I do wish they would perk it up a bit more but I guess that is what keeps prices low.

You would have! If you’re anything like me you would have stumbled upon it in frustration – there are only so many great places in the hudson valley!! πŸ™‚
