@Critterbug584:  Have you tried any lip scrub? That’ll help with the “dead” skin on the lips to make sure your lips dont flake and the lipstick stays well! Otherwise, Fresh makes a sugar lip treatment that I love! You can buy that at sephora. As for lipstick, Nars or Bite Beauty (sephora) are supposed to be great for hydrating. I think you’d be best going to a sephora, ulta, mac store and test them out and see how they feel, but those are my suggestions!

I second the lip treatment idea. Also, HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE! Best beauty secret IMO.

Definitely exfoliate! Vaseline mixed with granulated sugar makes a great lip scrub.

Drugstore: Revlon Lip butter High-end: Too Faced La Creme

Both of these lipsticks are super hydrating, but fyi a lipstick that is more emollient and hydrating will wear off and smudge easier than a matte or semi matte, so you would have to do touch ups after eating, drinking, a lot of talking etc.

OMG, I hate Chapstick so bad.  It causes my lips to stop generating their own moisture and then they’re SUPER chapped.

Have you tried the EOS lip balms?  I have found that those do not cause my lips to dry out inbetween applications.

My lips are always chapped to so I can’t wear lipstick no matter what I try. I opt for a lip stain that I can apply Chapstick over without interfering. Also I know you said you can’t do Burt’s bees but they do have a tinted lip stick that is way better than their normal stuff

@Critterbug584:  This is the lipstick I am wearing my wedding day! YSL rouge volupte #1 (nude beige)…I couldn’t take a good picture so I got this one off the internet and it is true to color. It is SOOOO moisturizing for a lipstick, it seriously feels like butter on your lips…even smoother than chapstick. Even with such a moisturizing formula it is SO pigmented, love it. It is expensive but worth every penny, I haven’t tried any other lipstick with this moisturizing formula! (it comes in a ton of other pretty colors too but this one is the perfect “wedding” day color for me)
