For the wedding, I really wanted a red lip, but I know my Fiance wouldn’t want to wear it, so I got lip stain at Sephora (Sephora and Urban Decay both have great ones). It stays put and won’t smear when you kiss. Just don’t layer lip gloss on top or it will come off. Some of my friends in the theater use lip stain for stage makeup and it stays on for hours!

@cyndistar3: maybe a lip stain with just some lip balm on top? Try Benefit Benefit or the Cover Girl Outlast Lipstains!

I’ve got some great Maybelline lipsticks- stain on one side, balm on the other. As long as the stain dries before the balm goes on, it doesn’t come off on anything. Can’t remember what the name of them is, but they were around $5 each, not $12+ like all the others I’ve found.

I used Revlon Colorstay lipstains, and it works like a freakin charm.  That stuff will not come off for HOURS, but it doesn’t leave any goo on your lips…Fiance loves that I don’t leave a mark after I kiss him hah. Plus…it costs like $7 at CVS or any pharmacy, which is a bonus.  And I wear pinkish or dark reds.

I have yet to find a good liptstick that stays on for hours. iwas wondering the same thing, not just for the wedding, but for other events. Any lip stain I have used seems to get that caked look to it and rubs off all weird.

My makeup artist used some kind of crazy lip sealer over normal lipstick. It worked awesome and didnt end up dry/flaky like some of the drugstore brands can.

Darling Husband is the same way, he wont even kiss me if I have chapstick on.

@cyndistar3: If I put two layers on at night, it is still on my lips the next morning…and not in a bad way, but in a oh hey, still lookin good kind of way hah.  My specific favorite is the ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze, color 545 (I am looking at it right now hah).  It is a little sticky for MAYBE 10 minutes, and then it won’t come off.  Honestly, when it comes to lip stuff, sometimes the more expensive stuff doesn’t mean it’s better.  Mascara, however, I am SO PICKY with, and stick to Chanel hah.  Good luck!  And yeah….my fiance has the same reaction…he will give me the most disgusted look if I pass anything lipstick colored onto him.

@cyndistar3: Thanks!  It’s a great color…it’s red without being too IN YOUR FACE red.  I wear it all the time hahaha.
