My MUA used a lipstain that looked like a gloss.  I didn’t even realize it was a stain at first.  I forget the brand, it starts with an A and I’ve only seen it in salons.

@PacificMrs:  I’ve used Just Bitten too, and it’s a lip stain, unless it comes in a lipstick too.

I used MAC Pro Longwear Lipcolor, the kind with the stain and then the gloss topcoat. It worked like a dream, and NOTHING came off on DH!

@AB Bride:  Yep, it is a lip stain! I thought I’d offer it up for the OP just as consideration. 🙂

I am wearing Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color.

I got my make-up done at Macy’s and she used a long wearing Stila color and I loved it…looked great! But I wanted to spend my money on skin treatments, foundation, brushes, so I opted to find a color that looked like it, at the grocery store.

I went right to the grocery store and with the help of another customer, found a pretty close match! I came home, put it on and really, really liked it.

This was a very different formula than when CoverGirl came out with their long wearing formulas in the 90’s. The balm that came with it, is very nice.

Just remember to exfoliate your lips first!!

I also just want to add that I really don’t like lip stains. Creating one out of actual lipstick is one thing, but I’ve used about every lipstain out there and I can personally say, each and every time, it slides back on my lips, creating a weird line around the inside of my lips, with no color anywhere else. I’ve used the liquid ones and the “marker” kind…neither worked.

I used Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain. Doesn’t feel dry at all. I couldn’t find the colour I wanted so I blended two colours and it looked great. I reapplied twice to give it the shine.

I LOVED my Makeup Forever matte. It does not rub off easily. You can get it on Sephora.com

Revlon lipstain.  It has a texture more like balm and doesn’t go anywhere for hours.  It’s true, they don’t have a ton of colors, but what they do have is wonderful and I’ve been using it for years!

I wore the Mac Pro Longwear two sided lip colour (i dunno the exact same… it has the sealer you put over top that is glossy) for my bachelorette in the super red colour and it was AMAZING. i was a hot mess and didn’t reapply my lipstick once but I had it on when I woke up the next morning. I went to Mac to try and find a softer colour for my wedding day but they have discontinued a lot of them… but they definitely have the bold ones still!
