Lipsticks that actually last?

LipSense has worked perfectly for me! It’s stayed on for 24 hours through a night of eating burgers, drinking, and dancing. The key is to reapply the lip gloss every few hours to keep the color locked in (they have different types of gloss too: normal glossy kind, matte, etc.). And if you do go with LipSense, just buy the color and the gloss because the “Oops Remover” they sell is a waste of money. You can just fix your application mistakes and color removal with a Neutrogena soap bar (much cheaper and faster!). Hope that helps!

MrsSapphire :

On my wedding day i did this and it lasted all day/ night. I used my normal face setting powder. I repeated the trick 2 times just to be extra sure for the wedding.

I use hard candy’s velvet matte mousse. I’ve tried more expensive lipsticks, but none last like these guys do. If I apply in the morning, even eating/drinking/etc., it lasts until I get home at night (or the next day, since I’ve fallen asleep with my face on a few times). It’s $7 from Walmart

I’ve had great luck with Anastasia matte liquid lipstick.

Have you tried moisturizing lip stains? They usually last a while and don’t feel cakey or anything.

This is my life right now, I’ve been trying to find the best non-drying (because lets be real, my lips are not pillowy soft Kylie Jenner lips), flattering liquid lipstick. I’ve tried TONS of brands, many of them mentioned already. I did not like Smashbox, which surprised me. It feathered a lot on me, and wore off patchy.

I like Kat Von D, a lot. The only “issue” I have is that the Sephora nearest to me is inside a JC Penny, and so it’s basically a Sephora Light and they are ALWAYS out of KVD stuff. And I hate buying makeup online, I like to try it out in person first.

One I didn’t see mentioned so far is the Wet N’Wild Liquid Catsuit, which I found a ton of YouTubers raving about it being a super cheap dupe to KVD. So, I bought a few and love them, the formula is similar and it stays on with doing that cracking/smudging thing, isn’t too dry and they’re about $5 each.
