Invitations/Response Cards

Programs

Seating Chart

Guestbook (A matted art print of something I created)

My mom DIYed our centrepieces which are vases with a damask ribbon and crystals around the top, a pillar candle inside, wrapped with a feather boa. She also DIYed vases with damask paper and crystals glued on glass for the head table. I wish I had a pic as these things sound ugly but they’re beautiful; my mom is super crafty.

I am having my bouquet and the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets made, but my mom and I will be DIYing the mother/grandmother corsages and the boutonnieres for the guys. We practiced a bunch of times so I think it should be okay.

@MademoiselleL:  I love your STD’s.

Haven’t tackled any projects yet, but Fiance and I (with bridal party) plan on making the invitations, wedding programs, menu cards, photograph thank you postcards, wedding favors (s’more kits), bouts (my florist wanted $10/one which I wasn’t going to pay for), and the bridal party flowers including my bouquet.

We are DIYing almost everything to save money. Let’s see…

Flower girl basket

Hanging Mason Jar tea light holders

Cake stand centerpieces

Bridesmaids earrings and necklaces

Mother of bride/groom earrings and necklaces

Bouts for groom, best men, and both fathers

Hair comb for flower girl

Flower girl’s sash

Linens (I bought them for less than I could rent them!)

Napkins

Bouquets for Bride and maid/matron of honor

Corsages for both mothers

Save the Dates

Invitations and Response Cards

Table numbers (haven’t quite figured that one out, yet)

Cake topper

Tent lighting

Programs

And we might even be DIYing the food and cake. Can’t find a caterer we like in our price range, and my uncle offered to do it for a reasonable price, so we might just take him up on it!

Looking at that list exhausts me. I think I’ll go back to bed now.

I’m doing all the stationary- save the dates, table names/cards, program fans, and DIY flowers, for bouquets, bouts, and centerpieces. Luckily I have a great team of women for the day before- it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Crap, and now that I’ve read my list I realized I forgot some things. Oh well, I’m not posting again. It is too exhausting and it makes me anxious since I don’t have all that much time between now and the wedding! I guess I should post pictures of some of the things I’ve actually finished. Maybe that will make me feel better about my progress.

And @bali_y, I got most of my ideas from the DIY Bride book. I’m not really all that creative, either! But you can take those ideas and make them your own. They aren’t copyrighted, or you wouldn’t be able to use them!

A lot…

Paper: Invitations, guest tree/book, card box, signage for buffet, matching thank you cards, cupcake wrappers, place cards if we decide to assign seating

Decor: Arch, Aisle markers/chair bows, (aisle runner?), table runners, centerpieces (DIY jars/bottles and flowers), Mr & Mrs signs, Fancy napkin folding and/or napkin rings, cupcake stands, I was going to do table cloths too but I think I can find plain white ones for cheap enough to not be worth making them myself.

Clothes and accessories: Dresses for bridesmaids and flower girl, hair accessories, veil, shoe clips

Misc: Fabric and pearl bouquets, flower girl basket, ring pillow, cake topper, cupcake tower/grooms cake topper, favors if we decide to do them

Food & Drink (with help): All the food! 3 types of marinated meat skewers and a variety of sides, cake & other desserts, sandwiches for late evening snackies with homemade artisan bread rolls and homemade red and white sangria

And not…

Beauty: Um…hoping for family help but will most likely need a pro, I’m crafty but can’t do more than lipbalm&mascara and a ponytail without it looking terribad! I don’t even own foundation or hair spray.

DJ: We need someone professional to help our two families mix and have a real party, willing to splurge on a (cheap) DJ, seriously considered the iPod/laptop thing but we’ve done it at family gatherings and it’s nice for a family afternoon lunch, but, it’s kinda lame for a party. (For us, apparently other people have a DJ streak and make it really work)

Photography: For ceremony and some posed pics only to save mega bucks, reception photography will be family, my “Uncle” Robert is a retired pro photog but might want someone specializing in weddings for ceremony part so Uncle Robert can sit with the family. Other family members are real shutter bugs too.

@weddingbound:  I LOVE your ceremony decor! I think I may use yours as a referance, if you don’t mind, when I finally get to start working on mine!

umm…Seating chart, escort cards, table numbers, favors, Out of Town guest bags. I might do a MR and MRS seat sign, and I want to make a “Thank You” sign to hold up for thank you card pictures. Other than that I just need something for the ceremony gazebo and then I’m done. Really, it’s not a lot.
