@hillsab03:  I love your choices, my cousin walked off that JHud at her beach wedding last year, brought me to tears. Deep lyrics. before i decided on a court house wedding, I was going to sing Beyonce- Kissing You coming down the aisle and our first dance was going to be Michael Jackson-Lady in My Life (my fave)

I have not decided which song below will be played for what part of wedding/reception but here is a list of songs I would loved to hear.  I could probably be my own DJ and save money since I will give them this list of requested songs lol.  No fast paced songs below but I have a list of those for dancing as well.  Hope this can help someone…it was a long process for me to listen and decide what could be used and I still have work to do.

Golden and A Couple of Forevers By Chrisette Michele, Love All Over Me By Monica,  Like a Star by Corinne Bailey Ray, Ready for Love by India Arie, Only Hope by Mandy Moore, You By Jesse Powell, When Im With You and Everlasting Love By Tony Terry, Never Knew I Needed By NeYo, 1+1 By Beyonce, He Loves Me by Jill Scott, I was made to love you by Gerald Levert, Until the End of Time By J. Timberlake and Beyonce, and many more but you get the idea.

Gospel songs I may use during ceremony if I don’t get a String Quartet: I Promise By CeCe Winans, I Found Love by BeBe Winans, We Worship You and My Everything By Cheneta Jones.

Thankfully, Fiance had said way before we got engaged that he’d like to be in charge of music. We’re not hiring a DJ; we own some basic audio equipment and recording system. Our music list would probably range from 20s all the way to 70s. (Vintage/musical theme)

However, I wouldn’t mind my bridesmaid, flower girls, and myself walking down the aisle to this music: Andrew Sisters – I’ll Be With You in Apple Blossom Time

(We’re going to have a lot of fun making our own traditions, so I don’t think I want the wedding march to be played. My dress doesn’t have a bridal train anyway!)

At this point, I’m not sure if we would dance yet; we might try a different route: have the guests dance while we play music. I have a year to learn to play and sing two songs on the piano. 1) Carole King’s “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman”. 2) Fiance, his best friend (groomsman), and myself would learn to play and sing the song “All You Need is Love” by the Beatles.

Eek.
